I don’t think there 15 people in Russia who care enough to organize groups.
I think 3 or 4 fsb or military leaders could cause violence with existing fighters under their command. But to get them shooting at each other will be tough. Best hope is for Wagner to go against their friends in the kremlin. They still would need heavy weapons and logistics from some branch of government. The bummer in all this is that video footage and coverage of Russians blowing each other up would be limited (at least at first). We need a good civil war to go a few months there so the media coverage can catch up and provide the footage for the worlds entertainment. It would definitely get tons of hits on line for Russian on Russian battles. |
The prevailing winds do not favor Russia in such a scenario. I think that using nuclear weapons would be suicide for Russia in any case. |
The main risk in this war has always been an accident at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. Unintentional, through the Russian mismanagement of the plant and bombings. If there is a Chernobyl like explosion, Russia will declare the "special ops" over, and NATO will be left to pick up the pieces of Ukraine. A nuclear conflict won't happen. But accident will, if fighting around Zaporizhzhia goes on for too long. We really don't want that to happen. I was in Germany when Chernobyl happened, and it was awful. |
For all their bluster, this is far from happening. There are still dozens of escalations before we get to that point. The Russians have actually been very restrained. |
There is a higher probability of Russia doing something stupid with nukes (moving them/testing equipment) that NATO misconstrues as launch preparations and we launch a preemptive strike. There are less than 300 highly populated cities in Russia and all of them can be taken out by US and French subs in a first strike in less than 15 minutes. That would leave about 5 million Russians living in rural areas. |
Putin doesn’t care, he is in his bunker -DP |
Now you're getting to the heart of the matter. Its NATO's itchy trigger fingers that are the real risk here. That and their control of media. Ukraine was shelling ZPP for months in the hopes of causing a nuclear disaster they could pin on Russia. The western media would mention the shelling, but scrupulously avoid saying who was doing the shelling. NATO and Ukraine will basically do anything they think they can get away with. |
It would be nice to see what modern weapons would do to to Russian forces. We are giving the Ukrainians 30 plus years old weapon systems and the Russians have no answer. It is time to restore Ukraine’s nuclear arsenal and supply weapons to other freedom fighters in Russia. Time to increase the pressure on Putin. |
And why would this be a problem if they did not anything off the ground? It would definitely be a deterrent to China if NATO (literally) destroyed an entire country in 20 minutes. Kind of sucks to kill 100m people but there are worse things. |
Hi, Linds |
The last time Russia had "freedom fighters", they left decapitated heads of Western relief workers on the side of the road for decoration. That was the turning point when the media shifted to calling them "insurgents". Then Johar Tsarnayev did his thing, and it was like, oh, sure, terrorists. No doubt. |

There is a new wunderwaffe headed to the front. The volkssturm!
Ukraine just updated its draft law so that 60 year olds and partially-fit people can now be drafted. https://t.me/Slavyangrad/48482 |
That sounds like an army that's winning! |
Against Russia and the republicans? Yes 60 year old would kick their a$$. |
Why haven’t they? |
