I'm sorry despite good intent, you end up still causing MORE problems when SOME kids end up 14 months older through various exceptions. Think about it where a July kid plays an August kid from the next year. We need a 12-month window to minimize age differences. (6-months one really but that's not on the table).

That logic doesn’t apply to soccer because it does not use GY for comp which is where recruiting takes place 99.9% of the time. So anyone up to the point they announce GY(if they did) wouldn’t have done it for soccer advantages.

So anyone who has a soccer playing kid who’s been held back or repeated a grade wouldn’t of done it for physical advantage because their is no advantage based on current soccer age rules.
