These post are hilarious and I imagine these dads as the ones that show up in their Man U jersey to games. Talking about how they would coach.
You should know that your govt job is watching what you post. |
Some dads are the coaches |
The 2010 boys had very low turnout, I didn't realize that was one of the shambles age groups. |
What is wrong with a dad being a coach and discussing how he would approach a drill? Coaches are dads/moms and dads/moms are coaches. Even parents having coaching and leadership experience. Wouldn’t you say that about yourself? Just curious. |
Valor is not worth the 3000 that it costs. |
One of my dc plays CYA rec (I am not the CYA rec hating poster, he has had a good experience) and a teammate tried out for the rising 2011 team. She said they were told there wasn't a coach yet but they would be sent offers within a day. I told her the coach was the most important part and how could she take an offer for a team without knowing the coach? How can they have a team with no coach? |
Did they already send out offers for the teams with coaches? How did she know her son made the team without a coach? |
Another parent told her that the kids on one field were already on the first two teams and the kids on the field her son was playing on were the kids on the third team which is the team with no coach. |
They’re probably seeing if they can form a third team, then hiring a coach if they can get enough kids. I don’t agree with this approach but Valor seems determined to make as much money as possible at every turn. I’m sure they are figuring that people coming from rec/people whose kids aren’t good enough for the first two teams either don’t realize this isn’t a good idea or don’t care because it’s still better than rec in their mind. |
ok, not subtle then lol. all the other valor coaches were hired weeks ago, i can't imagine there are any good coaches left to hire which says they don't care at all about this particular team. paying $3k for a team with some random scrunged up scrub coaching when the other teams paying the same cost get experienced professional coaches seems like a bad bargain to me. she should look around to nearby clubs. |
100% |
Definitely on brand for them. |
Not surprised at all by this club. |
That's fine to say how you would approach it, but keep it to yourself. Over engaging, even if you know more than the coach is confusing for most kids. If you have the guts to stroke a $3K check, you should have the guts to put a little trust in the process. If not, keep your money and go coach your own team. |
Tell her to reach out to Burke and Herndon |
