Any league can implement whatever they want for showcases and tournaments. But league play and nationals has to be whatever each governing body decides for the full year.

The troll said they had a girl which makes sense because a 14 month window for boys around puberty is a much bigger issue for boys than girls and much fewer girls play than boys.

SY+60 is the same as GY WITHOUT cheaters playing down.

Nothing yet but they are considering the 2 month window on top of 9/1. This is because it addresses all trapped players, doesnt allow playing down, and potentially gives them a 2 month advantage over ECNL.

It is interesting the comment on boys vs. girls. I can see where girl parents will be for the 60 + talk, whereas boy parents not so much given the stark difference you can see between middle school kids. With girls, you can definitely see it, but its not as drastic as boys. With the GA being a girls only league, I wonder if that will impact their decision.

Thanks. We need to make a club decision and my daughter is Q4. if GA doesn't announce soon we have to go with the ECNL platform

July 31 is the earliest school cutoff date so why are you pushing for 9/1 +60? Under your logic of GY and eliminating “cheaters” the optimal date is 9/1 +30. Your child must have a July birthday.

I think a 13 month age range is too large. I think a 12 month age range is too large and it would be ideal to have 6 month age groupings at the u-little ages. Not happening, but most of this thread has turned into a discussion of dates that are not happening.
