No one is afraid of anything. The issue is somehow a DCOM troll convinced like 20 people that SY+ is actually under consideration. Its not. No one that makes decisions at ECNL or MLSN or GA has heard of this, much less considered this.

Is GY being considered in ECNL? Very likely
Is SY vs BY being evaluated in MLSN and GA? Very likely
Are MLSN academies probably just going to go with whatever MLSN decides? Likely because its easy
Are any decision makers in any if these organizations considering SY+? NO

Let’s retire the +60 garbage. This thread needs to be about the pros and cons of SY vs BY cutoff knowing the u6-u12 pipeline will be SY. Does MLSN take a big risk and keep BY or take the safe route and go SY?

People do want GY.

But, they dont want the regrades, holdbacks, homeshoolers, efc,16 year old freshman playing/involved.

Get it though your head, cheater.

Nope, because SY+60 is just another way of saying GY without the regrades/holdbacks + this is what everyone wants.

North Dakota cutoff date is July 31st.

Both are addressed with by SY+60

I hope people are seeing through the "parent" pushing for a single cutoff date + for GY. They literally want to cheat by playing down and they dont want any rules keeping them from doing so.

All leagues will be 9/1, no exceptions, unless you are a YMCA in South Dakota

General FYI the "parent" pushing for GY is either a private school coach. Or someone running some kind of "gap year" regrade program that encourages players to take an extra year before high school training so they can play down for wins.

There will be accommodations. Because if theres still trapped players SY doesn't make sense. Leagues just dont want to get into the details because its too much work to explain. (For now)

The big challenge will be keeping the cheaters out that want to play down in SY leagues.

Too much for clubs and parents to handle having two different registration systems. Also distracting for kids as they move forward in their development.

This is stupid.

The grouping everyone wants is called SCHOOl YEAR.

As long as theres nobody trying to play down for wins its fine.
