Hang on, is the side who claimed Lively supporters here were tracking people’s locations through their IP addresses somehow and that we all had to be the same poster because “turtles all the way down” was apparently too obscure of an expression — is this the group that is now saying that Lively’s attorneys are pursuing bizarre conspiracy theories? Not sure why you assume the "they're tracking our posts" and the "turtles all the way down" complaints were made by the same Baldoni supporter here while all Lively supporters somehow have some inside line on what discovery Lively is pursuing and so can fully understand and defend every doc request and subpoena. Gottlieb will seek whatever discovery he is entitled to to try to trace the connections between the parties and content providers to the degree he is able and allowed, and that's his job. You seem upset about it, but it's a little hard to take you guys seriously when you all have so many conspiracy theories running it's hard to keep track. When Travis Kelce stopped following Ryan Reynolds that clearly meant Gottlieb had tried to extort Taylor Swift, amirite? I agree that one of the "sides" here has a conspiracy theory problem, but I don't think it's Lively. Dude is just seeking all the discovery permitted that the judge will allow. That's how Gottlieb got the list of content providers from TAG in the first place, because the judge narrowed the ROG: "It does not include any person who can generate, create, or influence online content, but only the much smaller subset of those who do so on the behalf of or at the request of a given Wayfarer Party." If you're worried about conspiracy theories, look inward! |

I mostly just lurk here (because there are posters who give good analysis - and yes, notes! - that you don't see elsewhere). But I just want to point out, because I'm itching to point it out to someone, that the Reddit account that made that "The conspiracy theory energy is getting out of control" post is very, very sus. And I am NOT someone who thinks most Reddit support for JB is inauthentic or accuses people willy nilly of being bots. But that account ONLY posts/seeds content that would support Wayfarer's exact narrative and planned defenses (none of the "judge is corrupt" stuff, which I do believe emerged organically) and the timing of when that account became active after a long period of dormancy is...very interesting.
Not sure if they have the basis in existing discovery yet (and they want strong basis in discovery for any Reddit subpoenas because Reddit WILL fight), but if I'm Wilkie's Kalinda-type investigator and I'm compiling my list of suggested accounts I want info on, that account is top of my list. And the fact that that account is specifically seeking to discredit (as tinfoil-hat) the theory that creators communicated with and made content on behalf of TAG without knowing it was TAG is very telling. |

Oh stop it. There are multiple subreddits discussing this case from several points, some pro JB and some pro BL with redditors from all sides posting their opinions and questions. There are some thoughtful posters and some unhinged posters, it’s Reddit. |

I was wondering whether they were going to subpoena any redditors, it should be the old head mod who erased their entire history and maybe left town altogether? That seemed weird to me but I was barely on reddit at that point. I will look at the one you mention, for funsies. The reddit subs are weird to me and I wish there was an incognito reddit sub to talk about them and how to deal with them because, like, apparently if you sh!ttalk the mods from Sub 1 on Sub 2, the mods from Sub 1 can read it and then come back to your conversations on Sub 2 and sh!ttalk and police you on Sub 2! And also people on Sub 2 can seem totally normal on Sub 2 but then when you look at their comments on Sub 1, they are full of insults and conspiracy talk, so it does change your opinion of them. Maybe the reddit mods will see this comment and track my location (/s) and ban me! It all just goes back to how impossible it sort of is to talk reasonably about this case because even the reasonable-seeming people are pretty dug whereby everything that happens just supports their position. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
