It's interesting that you expressed zero concern for the crew of the ships that IRAN fired on, yesterday. Remember them? Iran has once more closed the Strait of Hormuz, deploying gunboats to deter any tankers trying to cross the chokepoint, the Associated Press reported. So far, two vessels have been struck while others have changed course to avoid the risk of attack. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/iranian-gunboats-open-fire-on-tanker-in-strait-of-hormuz-what-to-know/ar-AA21cOqu |
OMG The Atlantic Council !! Their opinion is as important as Ja Rule's |
So did Iran. First. |
That’s right! Assemble the counsel of pedophiles and morons, fire up the pedo signal at 1600! |
DP. Are you one of the scumbags who have made exactly that statement before but in reference to Israel? |
Hi, I'm Harlan Ullman. You may recognize me from such classics as "Shock and Awe" and "Russia will not invade a Ukraine" |
You know this occurred... AFTER Iran opened fire on two tankers, right? Or do actual facts just somehow escape your attention? So funny how you love to paint Iran as some kind of victim. The British military says a cargo vessel was attacked near the Strait of Hormuz, damaging containers on board. The attack is the second on Saturday, after two gunboats from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards opened fire on a tanker transiting the key waterway. https://apnews.com/live/iran-war-israel-trump-04-18-2026 |
Mar 25, 2003 Man behind shock and awe says they've got it all wrong https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/mar/25/iraq.oliverburkeman The military tactic of "shock and awe" has been misrepresented, and the Pentagon is partly to blame, according to the man behind the phrase - who says he would rather have pushed for a second UN resolution in any case. The use of the phrase by US military officials has "created a Doomsday approach - the idea of terrorising everybody", says Harlan Ullman, a former navy pilot and co-author of the book Shock and Awe, in an interview with the Guardian. "In fact, that's not the approach. The British have a much better phrase for it: effects-based operations." The point is to break the enemy's will with an overwhelming display of military might, which might include precise attacks or accurate intelligence as well as heavy bombing. "The phrase, as used by the Pentagon now, has not been helpful," Mr Ullman says. Even so, he would rather the tactic had not been put into practice yet. "I would have waited months, perhaps, to get a second resolution, when it would have been clear that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. I don't agree with the administration view that Iraq is a clear and present danger, an imminent threat." |
Why did Iran fire on the ships? You left that part out. Because the US effectively broke the ceasefire by blocking Iranian ports and allowing the Israenazis to commit war crimes in Lebanon. America and Israel started the war last year and have reneged on negotiations 3 times. This is not Iran's war to start but Iran is allowed to conduct the war as it sees fit as long as the zionists keep breaking international law and committing war crimes. They are merely a re-actor to the fight. |
Why did Iran fire on the ships? Because the ships dared to try and traverse the Strait after Iran first declared it open, and then reneged by saying it was closed and only they control it. That's why. It's really entertaining to see you constantly spluttering and trying to spin this narrative that poor Iran is the victim here. THEY reneged on opening the Strait up and then decided to fire on any ships who wouldn't listen. Sure, Iran can "conduct the war as it sees fit" - and so can we. Iran opened fire on ships first. Deal with it. Iran reversed its decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and fired on a tanker attempting to pass the waterway on Saturday. It also warned that it would continue to block transit through the strait as long as the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports remained in effect. Iran’s joint military command said on Saturday that “control of the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state ... under strict management and control of the armed forces.” Two gunboats from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard opened fire on a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said. It reported the tanker and crew as safe, without identifying the vessel or its destination. TankerTrackers.com reported vessels were forced to turn around in the strait, including an Indian-flagged supertanker, after they were fired on by Iran. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/the-latest-iranian-gunboats-fire-on-tanker-in-strait-of-hormuz-as-iran-reimposes-restrictions/ar-AA21aHOa |
The previous poster correctly stated that Israel broke the ceasefire so the strait was closed. It's really not complicated. |
