Trump said in *1987* that the US should attack "horrible, horrible" Iran, "and take over some of their oil." In the years since, Trump talked about seizing oil from Venezuela, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, and Libya.

This is the problem with dementia. Trump is largely living in the 70s (when NYC was crime ridden, when Iran was an existential threat, etc).

Yep, and many of us predicted this exact moment when he was tearing up the deal. But all the MAGA apologists told us we were wrong and Trump the master negotiator was going to negotiate a much better deal. And now the same people are cheering on the war.

MAGA not only told us Trump was a master negotiator/dealmaker, but it was one of Trump's core campaign pledges. He stated time and again, that it would be Democrats that get us into ANOTHER Middle East War. It would be Democrats, who have no negotiation skills, that would start a war with Iran. This doesn't sit too well today.

While I like cheap gas, it's not a priority. With the glut of oversized SUVs and trucks hogging the roads, maybe we need expensive gas. I do care about peace. Peace seems more and more out of reach.
