I'm tall, slim, 45. Can totally rock a pair of skinny jeans, but don't want super low-rise. hate them with a passion as I am high-wasted so they cut into my hip bones.
What jeans do you like? |

I'm looking for the exact same thing! I'm average height but slim. But I still have a post partum muffin top when the waist is too low on my jeans.
I tried on a pair of Citizen jeans from the Denim Bar but they were supposedly an older style and I needed a size smaller and aparently they didn't have them anywhere. I should have asked what exact style they were. The girl at Denim Bar was moderately helpful when I told her I was looking for a pair of skinny jeans with a higher waist. She suggested 4-way stretch so that I don't get that baggy front look when they stretch out. The 4-way keeps its shape. But for a place that only sells denim, they hardly had any sizes and didn't have that much to choose from. I would NOT recommend buying there either. They don't do returns at all and only do exchanges within 7 days. I hope someone else posts a good suggestion. I'm going to do some more jean shopping this weekend and will post if I find something, |
| Got a pair on sale at Banana that were very dark rinse & stretch. Very cheap and very flattering. I have been wearing them often for the past year and they still look good. I spent about $20. I did end up going up a size, btw. |

Thanks PPs! will check out BR right now.

| I haven't tried them myself, but several friends have told me that they love the skinny jeans at Old Navy. I think they like the ones from the sweetheart cut? |
| i love my calvin klein skinny jeans |
| Also 45 and thin, but don't have a teenager's body. Love my dark rinse Jag jeans in the skinny cut. Get a smaller size than normal as they stretch a bit. Super comfy. My size 6s are a little baggy, but still look great with boots and flats. |
great recommendations! thanks

| I got a pair of 7s skinny and they seem to keep their shape well. |
| I love the William Rast skinny jeans from Target (yes, Target). |
| Jcew has a new high-waisted skinny jean |
| LOVE the new Gap skinny jeans and jeggings and I used to not be able to wear their jeans (never fit). And at $70 vs. $170, the price is pretty terrific! |
| Another vote for the Gap skinny jean line - I already have 3 pairs! |
I found that they lost their stretch and look like total mom jeans. I'm 31, skinny, but with a big ass and do not find them flattering. I like Paige jeans, but you have to be careful with a rear of my size... |
I agree about Gap's skinny jeans; I have three pair (although none of the jeggings--that's a bridge too far for me). I also have a pair of J Brand skinny jeans, and I far prefer the Gap ones. |
