The nice thing about the WCAC is the teams all play head to head, so this will come to light soon. Maybe PVI is stronger, but SSSA is their toughest game before they play GZ on 3/25. So we probably won't know until gameday.

The facts right now: Gonzaga defeated TWO top 25 teams this week. PVI is also 2-0, but I think we can all agree that St. Christopher's and Good Counsel aren't quite the same level of competition - so hard to know what PVI has yet.

Whoever the SJC parent who has been repeatedly bashing Gonzaga since last year is simply a troll. I don't know if it is jealousy, an adverse admission decision or just general insecurity--but just let it go...life is too short and you will be happier by getting rid of the negativity. Most of us knew last year's season was merely a blip for Gonzaga, and it is now clear from the wins over Loyola (#19) and McDonough (#2) that this year's team is going to be fine. King is an excellent head coach (with great assistants) and he has the program going in the right direction. SJC's team is worthy of the #1 ranking and there is a strong chance the team may go undefeated, so kudos to the Cadets. There, as a Gonzaga supporter, I have no problem saying positive things about SJC...see how easy it is?

Here are my new rankings for the DMV area.

1. Sjc- obvious on this one. In a league of their own.
2. Bullis- looks like the best team in the IAC this year.
3. SSSAS- sneaky team right here. Wouldn’t be shocked if they win the IAC this year.
4. Pvi- two solid wins to start of the year.
5. Gonzaga- also had two good wins to start of the year.
6. STA- looks like a completely different program.
7. Prep- off to a very slow start.
8. Landon- they just look awful.

And GZ wins were wayyyyy more impressive than PVI’s.
