Who has pvi beat and who has Gonzaga beat?

1. Sjc- obvious on this one. In a league of their own.
2. Bullis- looks like the best team in the IAC this year.
3. SSSAS- sneaky team right here. Wouldn’t be shocked if they win the IAC this year.
4. Pvi- two solid wins to start of the year.
5. Gonzaga- also had two good wins to start of the year.
6. STA- looks like a completely different program.
7. Prep- off to a very slow start.
8. Landon- they just look awful.

Bullis is way too high, as is PVI.

Real rankings should be if you include strength of opponents, and three legit top 25 national teams:

1. SJC (area and national #1)
2. SSSAS (SSSAS beat GZ albeit in a scrimmage but both sides kept their starters in the whole time. Depth could be their Achilles Heel.)
3. GZ (Two huge wins over top MIAA schools, and only the Calvert Hall scrimmage blow-out keeps them at 3. Also, Eye St. has to be worried about their injuries.)
4. PVI (Wins are wins but the caliber of play isn't really there yet)
5. Bullis (Narrowly escaped an embarrassing early loss to DeMatha but a win is a win. Its a very young team.)
6. Prep (Team just needs to gel, but look for this team to be better in a few weeks.)
7. St A (Reality will set in with this weeks matches)
8. Episcopal (Nowhere to go but up)
9. DeMatha (Not a strong program, but Dave is gonna surprise one of these teams this season and almost got Bullis.)
10. Landon (Clearly well into a full rebuild at this stage at all positions.)

If real rankings include strength of opponents than I would argue that GZ's first 2 wins (McDonogh #2 in US, LB #19 in US) are more impressive than any other team in the US except for SJC (Prep, BL, CH), and should get them ranked in top 10 (at least, maybe even top 5) in next week's IL rankings. Remember, you are not looking at 2021 results....just this season's games. And scrimmages are just that...so not sure you why you even reference the SSSAS scrimmage.

SJC and Gonzaga simply decimated the cream of the MIAA in a way that I cannot remember over the last 20 years--there is no doubt that this year the WCAC is the better conference (maybe not deeper, but better at the top). Gonzaga had been 1-13 against McDonogh before Friday's win.

Gonzaga is the number one ranked team in the world of Zaga parents and DCUM. There are you happy now? Don’t worry all will be settled on the field and you will always use you we beat the number 2 team claim when you argue that you are better than teams you will loose to later in the season

But ranking where from last and IL is clueless about.

SJC and GZ have made statements so far and deserve to have solidified their number one rank (SJC) and to have moved up (GZ). Regardless of how good STM is, Prep and Landon both looked disappointing in their bad losses and deserve to be knocked down a peg or two. Reactions to Bullis, SSSA, PVI, and STA are premature given weak opponents. Sorry, but Dematha is not a valid benchmark and scrimmages are nonsense.

WCAC is still all SJC. They are not losing any sleep over the early run here by GZ.

IAC is wide open. Will be some great games between Bullis, Prep, Landon, and SSSA. Look for home teams to be favored by 2-3 goals in relatively even matchups.

Love the schedule each week. Are these "real" games starting this week - i.e., when does season officially start (vs scrimmages)?
