Fake news. 2 18 year old senior graduating boys went to Europe (or will go in the summers, I forget) on trial with professional clubs in Europe.

Yes, they have a trial with a team from Gibraltar. If they make it, it would be a fun gig for a couple of 18 year old boys to play soccer and chill at the beach during their free time.

Think they already had them.

That's a bummer . We were willing to try out. Are they any good? Do they have a good team?

They have only one team in this age group. It is a good developmental team that plays in division 2 of ODSL. They are playing against Arlington Gold this Sunday if you want to see them play. http://www.odsl.org/_element_display/#%2F91918%2Fschedules%2FSpring2019%2F94722774.html%3Fdummy%3D1557513846317

I'm sure alot of girls are looking now with FCV having a problem and selling out to ST JAMES

I don't think FCV girls are looking to join an ODSL team. They will either stay with FCV and join DA team next year or try out for an ECNL club (Loudoun or McLean).

I thought Barca played in EDP why would they scoop so low as to ODSL? At the very LEAST NCSL

Barca has EDP and ODSL teams. The ones in ODSL are B teams or very young, and they will be moving up to EDP once they are ready.

It seems like Barca is a little thin on the girls side, is that true?

It is a small program. They have six girls teams across all ages. Two teams are in ODP and four teams are in ODSL.

Yes more boys teams. Boys have 2 teams at most age groups. Girls have one team per age group and for some ages there is no girls team. I expect tryouts this year will fill out the girls teams some more but not go beyond 1 team per age group. TD has said boys teams will stay at 2 teams per age. Don’t want to get any bigger than that

Good for them! That's a great experience.

I am grateful for futbol/soccer to exist.
I am grateful for getting a chance to coach you when you were young.
I am grateful for futbol to help you be a better person.
I am grateful for how much fun you have had playing futbol at school, our backyard and your soccer clubs.
I am grateful for your previous soccer club.
I am grateful for Barca Academy to keep you motivated playing the sport.
I am grateful for living so close to it.
I am grateful for the challenges you will face.
I am grateful for other clubs to challenge your team.
I am grateful for you to understand the difference between effort and no effort.
I am grateful for your respect to your team and the opponent.
I am grateful for the technical way you play without fouling the opponent.
I am grateful for all past games and the new ones to come (like tomorrow).

And to all parents, coaches and players from every club..be grateful of something, so we all together elevate U.S. Soccer, so one day, my kid our your kid with other kids win the World Cup for men!

Good night!

I’m a Barça fan but what was that poem? I’d rather listen to Hull City fans singing “mauled by the tigers” on a 10 hour loop.
