But where are they even going to play? NCSL is not going to accept this new club, I can almost guarantee it. NVA hasn't been able to get in, DMV wasn't able to get in, why would this brand new club with nothing but money be able to? They think they will be able to buy their way in? lol |
Not this again, lol. Let it go. Yes, NM and ML were coaching FVU teams that weekend. Both have won more ECNL playoff games that the the rest of the GFR staff combined. If you want high-level ECNL coaches at GFR at the moment, you have to share them with an ECNL-NL program. Players and parents on the teams they coach (two of the best girls teams in the club) appear happy. Their teams play possession-based, smart, soccer. They are examples of things that are going right at GFR. If my DD had a chance to play with either of them I would do everything I could to make it happen. |
AMEN! |
Lol. GFR thought NM would get them a prime seat with Union…and, yeah, that didn’t work out so well. Blame ML all you want, but GFR has been a sh!tshow of bad decisions for 2 years and now PA has to save the Titanic. |
Nobody thought that but GFR at least has a league affiliation which is more than ML's new club has. |
Only bad decision they made was putting ML on the BoD without having more conversations with him. He could have actually done some good things at the club if he'd worked with everyone instead of just trying to bulldoze it. |
GFR has fallen so far they now view a club that has never played a game as their main competition. Let that sink in. |
Oh please. Give it a break. |
Having a fun go at someone that hurt so many kids last spring is way different than seeing him as competition. |
Only bad decision at GFR was ML? It was all going so perfect until he showed up, right? Joining NVA was a master stroke? RS was crushing it as the ED and, after re-installing him, he’s ED-ed on so wonderfully that he’ll stay in the job for the next decade! Oh, wait… |
Well, RS is out now. PA is on the way. Yet ML and his cronies continue to try to hurt GFR. The question is why? |
Finally weighing in after observing too much slinging of digital feces in every direction. Gross, all of you. Please stop advocating for change for this team. I'm sorry you stopped watching this group last year. If you had continued to watch them, you'd notice the good things that are happening. Their last coach and their current coach have made them better in their own different ways, we can applaud both of them. Their current coach is unselfishly playing the long game for the team, focusing on the skills and experiences that will benefit them in the long term, long after he has stopped coaching them. Many of these girls will be comfortable playing different positions on teams that play different formations and a very technical game. Please stop advocating for change. I have read many of the concerns about the current coach concurrently working for other clubs and older ECNL teams. Perhaps there is actually a significant benefit and advantage at the younger ages to have a coach with that level of experience and perspective? Maybe GFR is actually really fortunate to have coaches of this caliber at these age groups. Please stop advocating for change. |
NVA was Kurt B’s baby and probably one of the reasons he was let go so if you’re using that as an example, try again |
It would just be entertainment and something to laugh at if his bad judgment hadn’t caused as much damage. |
Thank you for making my point, that bad decisions were made by others besides ML. Try again not needed. Thanks! |
