+1. I think the “change” that “needed to happen” has already happened. Team is on a good path. |
Who would have the incentive to poison the well of the GFR 2014/13 program to motivate the younger 2017-15s to look elsewhere? Perhaps to a newly formed club? |

It's winter break
Let's see what happens in January, new club? new league? coaches leaving? coaches staying? Tryout dates? It's like the new season of Stranger Things coming out, can't wait to see what will happen |
I can agree to that. Ill bring the popcorn. |
Now it’s demigorgons instead of White Walkers? Mixed metaphor. |
Did not read the 90+ pages of the same people going back and forth about this guy being great and this guy being terrible. Just check in from time to time to make sure the same 10 people are on here complaining about the same old things and doing nothing about it. As much as I like it here, the Revolution threat is so much more spicy, it's got coaches getting it on with moms for playing time, it's reality TV without needing a subscription to a streaming platform. |
We do need juicier stuff. Let's add that to PA's to do list too. |
She will need to start by hiring some better looking coaches. Signed, A GFR Mom. |
HAHAHAHAHAHAH now this made me LOL

So disingenuous. Nobody has mentioned “TF coaches” except for you. People have a problem with the director(s) collecting big salaries while spending substantial time away coaching for an unaffiliated club. When the TF contract was terminated, where were NM and ML? One was on the west coast the other was on the other side of the planet, both coaching another club’s teams. What club in their right mind would be okay with their TD and DOC, on the first weekend in April with spring soccer kicking into high gear, to be off coaching for another club??? The whole setup is a joke. |
Let’s become the next VA Revolution - one affair at a time.

Good to hear from you again Mario. You said this at the coaches meeting when you took over the club for those glorious few weeks. Then shortly after (in the same meeting) you said RS and others were not let go for any wrongdoing. Even your new bff JN pressed you in the meeting that your email implied wrongdoing but you said no wrongdoing. Truth is not your thing and then you pathetically sued to no avail. The same people that complain about those directors also want a pathway for their superstars because that is the landscape. As a board member, did you ever ask the questions of why it might benefit GFR? Oh wait why have conversations when you clearly know everything? When you go from last place in NCSL to last place in RL, you clearly know what is best to lead all families in GFR. I feel bad for every family that ends up following you to your new club. |
Anyone know new ED personality enough to give guess for how would handle if families do go to new club? |
Who are these "people" who have a problem with this? Not the parents of the kids on their teams. ML and NM team parents are very happy and were the one's who were the loudest and most vocal when their contracts were "terminated" by ML and begged to have them brought back. So who has a problem? A bunch of parents who have feigned outrage about things they know nothing about because ML told them they should be mad about it? The ED is the only person who should be held accountable anyway, he hired them and if he permitted them to be gone the first week of April then that would be on him to make sure their teams were covered, correct? ML fired them and tried to replace them with HM!!!! THAT was the solution? HM has one of the worst reputations in NoVA soccer and he was the savior that ML was going to bring in to replace the TF coaches? LOLOLOLOL |
What do you mean how would she handle it? If players leave at the end of the Spring season not much you can do about it but wish them well. |
