I thought she was just asked about Maine? |
I live in Maine, and systemic racism is absolutely a problem. We’re not confronted with race issues on an hourly basis, but black people are stopped for driving while Black on 95 every day (ostensibly for the violation of driving in the center lane of a 3 lane highway). We have a pretty active Black Lives Matter group statewide, and maybe Susan should have checked in with the issues prior to her debate.
Being black in Maine is not for the faint-hearted and Susan Collins’ response was terrifically wrong-headed. |
+1 and former Governor Paul LePage has lots of hideously racist things to say. |
I’d almost forgotten about LePage. I’m surprised Trump didn’t offer him a prominent position in his administration. |
So if Dems lose Alabama, but win CO ME AZ NC, that gives Dems the Senate. Winning either GA seat or NC or IA would be nice, because it robs Joe Manchin WV of his irritating power to play footsie with the right wingers. |
I really want Harrison to win in SC!! |
Bump - any predictions before polls close? Here are mine:
Democrats pick up AZ, CO, ME, NC, MT and IA. Ossoff and Warnock both lead in GA but both need to go to a runoff. Republicans pick up AL and hold AK and SC. And THANK YOU OP for starting this thread so long ago! I’ve been almost as obsessed with winning the Senate as with beating Trump, and this has been an awesome exchange. |
From your list I don’t think the Dems get Montana or Iowa. Maine is too close to call. |
Called already - Hickenlooper flipped Colorado and Cornyn held on in Texas. |
Lindsey win.. ![]() |
Not surprising, but Doug Jones lost to Tommy Tuberville. |
Tillis leading in NC. |
So sre we thinking the senate doesn’t flip? |
