He said that Faison is the nicest guy and one of the better athletes on the team. I know some of the middies are upset they are getting bumped, but Speaks did a great job in explaining this is how the world works now with the transfer portal and to get use to it.

Total troll. Shoveling at 10 AM? This shows just how dumb SJC is to be shoveling when the snow kept falling for hours. Why would Faison choose SJC over GP when GP has brand new dorms and a support system and a history of successful transfer borders? Even if it's true, the lack of historical alumni loyalty would surely lead many sophomore and freshman families to consider why they chose SJC. This would be a brain dead decision on Haley's part.

This has really taken on a life of its own. I may be wrong, but hasn't SJC taken in transfers before? Why would this be any different, and "lead many soph and frosh families to consider why they chose SJC?"

10 AM? "Hey families, we need you to jump in your cars after a major snowstorm where the plows haven't hit most streets yet and hand shovel your private school field."

So, you've been hauling your kid into DC from NOVA or the burbs of MD on the promise of Speaks that your kid is going to play at a major college where he couldn't get accepted otherwise and now he's back on the bench bc of upper school transfers. I don't think it happened and I think Inside Lacrosse and the other insider lax guys would've been onto it.

Total troll post.

Dylan Faison goes to St John’s now?

Yes sir! Also have an attackman, Pole and Goalie.

And all the existing SJC players/families are super stoked about this? "This is how the world works now," I guess. I'm 1000% sure this will end well.

I mean, c'mon. Maybe a player or sometimes 2 gets into a college they otherwise can't get accepted to otherwise each year. 90+% there's no college bump, they're not really Ivy candidates.

Anyone know if Faison is aware he's just trading a Florida schedule for a mostly WCAC schedule?

I think Inside Lacrosse and the lax junkies would be all over this if the rumor about Faison going to Military Road is true

speaks is a legend

I'm sorry, what? 1.5 great seasons makes him a legend? Has the bar dropped that low?

Someone is new to the DMV

Educate me on the legend status, but that's typical DCUM SJC blowhard bs.
17: 11-5 wcac champ
18: 12-4 runner up wcac
19: 12-6 runner up wcac
20: Covid
21: 11-1 N/A
22: 19-0 #1 in country
23: 15-3 wcac champ
24: 12-5 runner up wcac

8 years at a sports school allowing recruiting and scholarships. Legend?
1 National Champion
1 City Champ
3-3 in WCAC finals
Win/Loss 92-24
78%

And appx 42 of those wins came against total WCAC cupcakes. So really 50-24 and 67% against okay to excellent teams. Then take out the 2 great seasons and it's down to 30-23 W/L. Legend or Ron Rivera-esque when he had Cam Newtown.

I'm 99% sure that this is false. I did a bit of googling, including Faison's Instagram page, and all signs point to his current high school St. Andrews. But the fact that some people, including me, gave it an ounce of credence says a lot about SJC. I would sure hate to be a 2027 or 2028 waiting for my chance to get on the field.

The year is young, but you sir get the prize for the best troll of 2025 so far!

Well given a few years it was well documented SJC was recruiting QBs from Arizona and Hawaii to transfer in for their senior season, you can see why DC followers of HS athletics turn their eyes to SJC athletic philosophy of "win at all costs"

So a tougher schedule than everyone in the area. Got it.
