Well played....
Whoever is posting song lyrics to The Smiths is hysterical! |
| There's a bunch of us doing it... it has been fun! |
|
SO true. One of my favorite DCUM threads in ages.
But don't you want to kill the 20-something who said they broke up before she was born? |
| Her loss |
Yes. And since when was "I wasn't born yet" an excuse for not knowing something. I hate that. |
I'm more piqued about the one who said it wasn't her kind of music, assuming she's a different poster. She must have been a trendy in high school! |
| Yes, she probably listened to The Back Street Boys, not The Cure or The Smiths... |
|
Wow, is this a thread about loving the references to songs by The Smiths or a thread in which to be bitter?
Saying you don't know about the Cold War because you weren't born yet= stupid. Saying you don't know who The Smiths are because you weren't born yet= something only bitter old ladies will "hate." I doubt you'd be as hateful if someone said they didn't know who The Furious Five are.
|
Bitter's part of our game. Don't you get it? Bitter's not a bad thing when you love the Smiths. We THRIVE on it.
Haven't had a dream in a long time... |
One is also a moron if they don't know who the Furious Five are. |
What she said was sad but, then, all the rejections she's had... to pretend to be happy could only be idiocy |
Seriously! Were we Alt/Goth in our youth because we were happy, well-adjusted teens? PP clearly doesn't get who The Smiths' audience was! How else would we have grown up? |
| Smith fans ROCK! Born after that, you missed out! |
How old are you? You sound 12. |
|
Are The Smiths a music group?
As my dear mother would have it: "There is classical music, and there is noise". My sentiment also. I'm such a fuddy-duddy and loving it, at 30 years old
