I agree. I have 3 kids playing soccer at 3 different clubs and VYS is by far the best with communication. I know the practice schedule and tournament schedule. Still waiting for this same info from the other 2 clubs. |
Fair enough. Enjoy your emails from the TD if that's important to you. |
Nice people but not much of a soccer club. Top players go to McLean or Arlington, maybe even BYRC. You're left with B/C level players which equates E/F players from other clubs. |
Thanks. I assume you are talking about girls soccer. Again. On the boys side, this is definitely not the case. i cannot speak to the girls side fully but they have a had a few recent state cup winners. Not to start that whole crap discussion again. They do a great job developing younger players and their younger boys teams are doing really well, much better than McLean and BRYC at younger ages. Their top teams compete against all other top boys teams in the area at a younger age. They definitely have A team players that could be A team players anwhere else in NOVA (as some become as they move to other clubs at older ages). |
Please stop with the whole state cup winner claims. You can't beat 2-3 teams from your league and claim state cup and as diluted as the VYSA version is, at least it's open to all teams in the state. |
We saw them play this past weekend (05 or 06 girls) and they looked solid. |
Pretty sure that was VYSA so STFU and do something useful if you can find somebody else's brain to help you. |
We are about to find out on the boys side. McLean Green plays against Vienna Red in the premier division of the U10 group at the Arlington Asist tournament coming up. |
Ummm...you should prob get off your high horse. VYSA State cup for the older kids wrapped in November and the younger ones don't start until April. VYS was definitely playing the prestigious VPL State cup. Betcha feel kind of stupid huh. |
The view is pretty good from here. http://m.connectionnewspapers.com/news/2017/nov/06/vienna-girls-win-another-state-cup/ Noting that they had won their second VYSA state cup. This before VYS joined VPL. As I said, get a brain or get some help from somebody who does. |
Sure. U11s spanked Green last year in the same tourney. |
Nothing quite like the pressure of an entire club's perception hinging on the fate of a u10 tournament game in March. |
As did U12s. I don’t think results should matter at this age. But the original post suggested MYS and BRYC are much better clubs and that VYS first team players are like D or E team players at other clubs. On the boys side, those D and E teams must be pretty damned good and a whole lot better than MYS and BRYC first teams. |
A little bit of parental ribbing never heart anyone. Its the battle of Rt. 123! |
Of 10 year olds... |
