Cuz everyone wants to track that.
If Satan wanted to ruin youth sports what is happeing now with pay to play and everything else is exactly what he would do. |
The only scenario that makes sense to allow kids to play multiple games in a day would be at a showcase where, say, an August kid is playing with their older birth year squad, but then goes and plays with their school year squad that same day so they are seen with kids in their graduating class. It would make sense to allow this but it would also be prudent on the coaches to watch those players minutes, unless you’re a keeper. |
Satan in 2027 is going to be looking back fondly on the glory days of 2016-2026, when he sowed chaos in youth soccer by implementing BY, playing to the egos of a bunch of parents and coaches who thought all their kids were going to be playing internationally. |
Probably the worst thing that ever happened to American youth sports.

I guess no more guest playing from GA players to other leagues so this is their compromise. Also GA way of trying to keep Q3/4 players when ECNL announces their age group changes. |
Just like the democrats. |
Which could be something they do it’s just how do you keep track of that? Would really depend on coaches making sure to look out for a player. |
MLSN1 must please BY crowds to stay in BY! |
Didn’t have that level of details. So no idea. The director only got concept ideas they are thinking about. But nothing has been sent out officially as our director knows this because he reached out to GA directly to get some info. That’s what he has been told is a potential plan. |
Sorry, did not read the previous 927 pages but this mean that the April-July kids will now be the least likely to make the team? After this change was announced I looked at our roster to realize that most kids were born January through May, and then we have two July/August kids and only one born in October after the new cutoff. Is this typical? My son is born in July and I am a bit concern what this shift will mean for him next year. |
Everything posted is correct. July is the new November. Also coincidently not on your current roster…. |
Top NL team, one Dec., then one Oct., then 2/3 of the teams are Jan to Mar, with the remaining April to June. No July to Sep. |
How good that Dec kid must be?!? |
Seriously f off. Thanks for that wonderful contribution. Back to the topic. |
Feels like a troll, but yes this the current landscape and it will be changing drastically in fall 2026 |
