Kids will also be allowed to play multiple GA games in a day. So a player can go down and play with their school grade and play with their BY team.
Starting 26/27 they will most likely extend the amount of players per team. So if it’s 2 players per game will goto 4 players per game.
Should hear about this after GA tryouts.
Holy cow, that would be a wild development. So after tryouts and team placement some Fall birthday kids could find out they will instead effectively be playing on the younger team this year?! That would be a more aggressive transition in GA than anything ECNL has said, after ECNL spearheaded the change. Q1-Q2 expecting to be bottom starters will lose their minds.
Allowing just gives them the option to move those kids down to play with school year, they don't have to. But I think giving kids/clubs that option,
but more importantly putting a limit to it, seems like the most sensible compromise to the "reverse trapped player" phenomenon. It gives those kids the ability to play with their grade (to a certain degree) but also takes away any incentive to try and game the system with a team full of "hold backs." That's of course assuming this even happens. No one knows anything at this point.
