This sounds believable to me as our club sent out a mass club email asking for a response for every kids grade level and no mention of BY or Month of birth. |
again this doesn't sound believable at all because playing 2 games in a day goes against everything these leagues allegedly stand for. Think of all the ways this could go wrong. |
No way my kids is doing that. |
O, I agree with not doing 2 games, but it doesn't have to be all or nothing from therr comment. I was just pointing out the portion of their comment about grade as my daughters club had everyone respond to grade. |
I had to answer the question when I registered my son this year too. Grad year |
We had to give birth month. |
My kids GA club hasn't asked what grade. |
This! And, allowing HS has nothing to do with age cutoffs….MLSN gives zeros fricks about trapped players. That issue is a USYS issue. |
Not the poster of comment. But my daughters coach said GA is about to limit guest playing outside of your league. Meaning some kids 10-15 min per half is all they will be allowed to get. Sounds like there will be a minutes cap on players to 90 min a day. Girls can either play with clubs aspire team or older Ga team in same day to get that PT. He said ECNL doing something similar. |
I know kids who play RL and ECNL in the same day so I’m not sure how they are against that or what exactly they stand for? In Northern California it’s very common to play with two different clubs or teams in the same day. |
Every registration has always asked graduation year. |
Hmm, I don't see it. But it wouldn't be hard to figure out which players on a team were which grade in school. So who knows. Maybe they already have grade on file. |
Huh? Why would this be a troll post? This is what my son’s team look like and I was curious if that is the case more or less across the board. If so, then I think there is a good reason to believe that things will become an uphill battle for him next year having a July birthday and being still quite young. |
It depends on how many Sept-Q4 kids are on the older team. Sounds like perhaps not many. The age cut offs have probably caused a lot of Q4 kids to drop soccer. |
