I posted earlier and don’t agree with how the departure took place. The point was that lula’s decision to handicap EM from continuing to take the club in the right direction and eventually allowing him and everyone else to leave to the closest competing club continues to hurt the club to this day.

There was more to it than LB. She may have been one of the catalysts but there were more hands in the pot that made that happen.

Anyway, its all over and done with. I hope the rumor posted upthread about LC leaving is false. I really like the coaches and do not want another upheaval. LMVSC teams that I am familiar with are making significant progress, beating teams that we "shouldn't" beat.

I doubt that he'll be leaving. Very few if any TD jobs available at the moment but still early in the year.

Well yes but that was a different situation, he had just been let go and needed a job and went to Alexandria. Nothing wrong with that. LB was looking for a TD and decided to go with him. Unless you know of any other Director leaving their club or being fired, openings don't seem to be many.

Well yes but that was a different situation, he had just been let go and needed a job and went to Alexandria. Nothing wrong with that. LB was looking for a TD and decided to go with him. Unless you know of any other Director leaving their club or being fired, openings don't seem to be many.

Nothing wrong at all with taking a coaching job. LB was looking for a TD still because her two hires turned her down, allegedly due to ‘personal reasons’ which I don’t necessarily believe. LB then decided to take LC as TD and tried to hire as many SYC coaches as possible which made it clear her attempt was to just recruit SYC players. Didn’t work because she couldn’t give them all jobs because not enough teams. After they failed attempt, LC and Co. decided to implement “academy” but that was only to mask our small player population. If we saw this during tryouts, we would’ve left. There is no actual travel program. Our coaches don’t do continuing education or follow a curriculum, our director(s) don’t hold them accountable (age group coaches monitoring and assessing the entire age group). It’s time to accept it: LMVSC travel soccer is a money grab. CCL is absolutely going to deny our membership. We’ve lost over half of our travel program since EM left and the board hasn’t doesn’t anything to remedy the situation.

The collective yes. FL no, he’s amazing. JM is young but from what I’ve seen I think he’s a good coach. I’ve seen both with numerous players and always there to help improve. But EE, BG, LB, etc. no way. Unapproachable, only well with certain type of player, or other reasons.

Is it your thought your kids won't be able to make a higher team somewhere close to you?

Or your kids will move up to the A team if you stay?

Or are you just not that invested in you DCs soccer?

The greatest quickest way to see change is to leave the club along with writing an email CCing her the coach and the TD telling everyone your leaving because you have lost confidence in the leadership of the club.

I wasn't trying to get into specifics of names but more names could be thrown into both buckets that you listed. It just depends on who your DC has worked with.

I honestly think this has to be the old LMVSC (current SYC) crew posting here now about this lady.

1.The drama went down two years ago. No way parents are still droning on about this. If parents were mad, they would have left last year. and
2. I've seen the new SYC crew in action. It aint all that people here are raving about. In fact, I know several parents who left disgusted for one reason or another after the change.


At any rate i'll be glad when these complainers are gone. What will they complain about once they've moved on? Guess we will find out in the fall.
