So apparently now electronics are exempt from tariffs. The moron is just trashing the US economy without a single coherent thought in his addled brain. So, I'm guessing THOSE factories won't be coming to the US? (that was the plan earlier this week, right?) Or that the trade balance will now get worse given the Chinese tariffs on U.S. products/services are still intact (that was the plan later in the week, right?) Or that China will now be eager to now pick up the phone to make a beautiful deal given how strong Trump has been? (that was the other plan, right?) How can MAGA defend such incompetence? What hasn't he backed down on?

The delicious irony of the US justifying tariffs on Australia due to the ban on US beef on biosecurity grounds and now Australia’s beef exports to China up 40% as China imposes tariffs and does not recertify US meatpackers so US beef exports have gone to $0. So not only will the US still have to take its $3bn of lower quality Aussie beef each year (75 year low on livestock numbers here due to drought) but it’s at least temporarily lost its $1.6bn grain fed beef sales to China. Aussie farmers for the win, I guess.

Trump is very expensive for the U.S. taxpayer. We’re going to have to personally bail out the farmers that have lost their markets. Just like the soy farmers last time.
