Taylor Swift Tour

That account started quickly but was surpassed by a different one (non-boosted). Spent hours getting in, putting tickets in a cart and being told another “fan” beat us. This happened for Pitt, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and LA. And now general sale (not that we had much hope there) is f’ing cancelled??!!
I need to calm down.

If you are prepared to travel so far for a concert, perhaps tally up how much you are prepared to spend for a two hour experience and look at other things for can buy with that money.

I just accept that I am not going to the Superbowl for example, and wonder about the people prepared to spend thousands for a game.

I went to stadium concerts when I was much younger. To be honest the thing I remember most is what David Bowie was wearing and how little I could see over the tall men. Granted they have big screens now, but then you may as well be watching from home.

The difference, for the most part, is that you can’t watch a concert live on tv. I bet a lot of people would l love that option.

Too little too late. I’m sorry, but this happened on a smaller scale with Harry’s residencies.
There are so many tickets for resale. It is a travesty that verified fans and card holders were not able to get thru
While bots and scalpers scooped them up to resell. Anything on a resale site should be refunded and those tickets sold again in a new, streamlined Sale.

Did Taylor's IG post get removed? I can't find it.

What was the gist of her message?

It's an instagram story. Here's a screenshot:

That doesn't really explain what happened.

For just the verified fan?

Or verified fan plus capital one?

NP. The article I read said 14 million users were on Ticketmaster trying to buy TS tickets, and that included some bots

So that has to include the CapOne buyers - that’s probably how the bots got in.

2 million people scored tickets through the Verified fans presale.

2 million tickets or 2 million transactions?

Verified fans should have used 2-factor authentication w/the cell phone used.

And only do one city at a time or smaller batches.

And require unique cell phone - can only use once.

The Justice Department is finally investigating Live Nation for its stranglehold on the music performance industry. It’s about time.

I don’t think it’s totally clear exactly what happened yet.

It's not her responsibility to explain what happened. That's TM's responsibility.

DOJ is also announcing an investigation into Live Nation although sounds like that investigation was already underway to begin with.

Exactly. Everyone wondering how this works should watch John Oliver’s episode about the TM/Live Nation monopoly. They’re the ones in control, not the artists.

Right I know but someone above said she explained it.

I don't think she can because of contracts and things.
