Yes, I hear of Arab solidarity of victimhood with the poor Palestinians. That's about it. No one wants to help them. Only share in their victimhood.

Who is providing aid to the poor Palestinians? Mostly non-Arab countries.

This is gaslighting at its finest. You are baiting Arabs to fight Israel to defend Palestinians then will cry it’s genocidal and they hate Jews. You should thank lucky stars Arabs are as war fatigued as the United States is with all these wars

If they were to even airdrop blankets and candles, Israel would blow up the drop. We know this

What on earth are you talking about? Did you watch the video? Also not sure why you are conflating the Arab people with Arab governments. Nothing in the video talks about Arab countries.

Changes were not minor. Yes, the CIA did agree with the draft. Egypt and US were pushing a deal Israel did not agree to at all. It's a deceptive mediation tactic and it ended up not working for that reason.

Why is the US is involved with this? How much time and resources are we wasting for these Israeli ingrates? I am sure the CIA has much better use of their time.

Because Israel is an ally. We benefit from a stable, non-terror riddled Middle East.

It was stable and non terror ridden before Israel existed.

The Middle East wasn’t the centrepiece of the two world wars that Japan, Germany, Russia, US .

It became war ridden when Jews left Europe to Middle East

Ah yes, the Jewish problem. So glad that DCUM is finally addressing it. But what is DCUM's solution? Perhaps even a final solution?

Localising this to DCurbanmom is your problem if you think this rhetoric is exclusive to a mom forum.

Israel’s practices are self sabotaging and its delusional exceptionalism is blinding them from seeing the sea change with their relations in the West and East. Holocaust sympathy worked in the 70s.

Not so much today When they are the new Nazis

What are you basing your assertion on that the changes were not minor? I'm asking sincerely here.

Permanent ceasefire v. temporary ceasefire, 33 bodies possible instead of at least some live hostages.

Why would Hamas ever agree with a temporary ceasefire? What does that possibly get them? All it does it provide Israel with a negotiated way to resume attacks.

Khan is informed that any attempt by the ICC to hold Netanyahu and his colleagues to account for their actions in Gaza will be interpreted “not only as a threat to Israel’s sovereignty but to the sovereignty of the United States.”

“Target Israel and we will target you,” the senators tell Khan, adding that they will “sanction your employees and associates, and bar you and your families from the United States.”

Letter is at zeteo:

Wtf? What kinda democracy is this when our lawmakers sound as threatening as Hamas ?

The signature line misses Tony Soprano and the letter itself misses a fish wrapped in paper.

Sitting US senators talking like thugs. Thought I'd seen it all.

What does this have to do with US sovereignty?

I guess now we will see posts reminding us LGBT and women’s rights are excellent in Israel.

Even though Israel is high in anti LGBTQ homophobic incidents and misogynistic incidents by extreme Orthodox Jews who don’t talk to women or look them in the eye

+100

lol yes please enlighten us about the ‘benefit’ of allying with Israel. It has always been disastrous. Israel is like a little parasite feeding off of our tax money and then putting us in a precarious position around the world.

The amount of maimed, burnt, and crushed children I’ve seen will haunt me forever. How is our government allowing this to happen?

I have seen many Arab people saying they feel brotherhood and sisterhood with the Palestinian victims.

The video is a Palestinian and a Hamas supporter but he seems to have missed the point. Hamas wants this. They are getting lots of victimhood as a result of their attack, just what they want.

There is no peace to be had as long as Hamas is in power. That's it. It's that simple. There is no country on Earth that is going to accept a fanatical regime like Hamas as their neighbor, one who just invaded and butchered and injured thousands of innocent people in cold blood - kids at a music festival, farmers, murdering parents in front of their children. Could you even imagine the American response to such atrocities? It would be armageddon.

Whether there's a temporary ceasefire or not is irrelevant in the big scheme of things. Either Hamas steps down from power - not going to happen - or they die. Until then, unfortunately, the war will continue.
