Liberals want to..... BLAH BLAH BLAH

I'm sick of seeing some random quote pulled from the news and then turned into a statement about what Liberals want.
The latest was a comment by Martin O'Malley, which is that he called illegal immigrants "New Americans" - something he himself denies. He says he was using the term to describe legal immigrants. But now the entire Liberal populations "wants to" blah blah blah. Meanwhile, some Tea Party leader shoots off his mouth about muslims, and everyone is so quick to say "oh, it's just the one guy and we kicked him out". I'm sick and tired of the double standard. Either you are taking responsibility for each of your wackos and misquotes, or you have to cut this out. |

Oh boy do I love people like you. Horrible, horrible person that probably does not know one single gay person. I have very good friends that happen to be a gay couple with two children. Their family is probably one of the happiest, functional, cool families I know. Thank God those kids weren't adopted by hateful people such as yourself. Awful lot of hate coming from the right. It must be exhausting. |

Hang on. You're tired of seeing threads about liberal hypocrisy?
How about stop trying to legislate the way we live and trying to change what I ingest just because you're a crunchy vegan? How about stop thinking you're smarter than me and you know what's best for me and my family? How about stop trying to take more and more of my money and then trying to make me feel guilty when I don't want to keep throwing money in to a pit called the Federal govt that never curtails spending? |

But seriously, if same sex marriage becomes legal, can I marry my mom, so I can put her on my medical insurance? And also, my inheritance would not be taxed then. Hmmmmmm |

I actually think it is the social conservatives who are against gay marriage, abortion, etc. Why should one care whether the person down the street wants to enter a same sex marriage?? I may not like it, but so what. No one is forcing YOU to enter such a marriage. Similarly, why should one care whether the woman next door has an abortion? If you are against abortion, then do not have one yourself. |

Yeah, it seems to be a matter of whether the family lives in a community of decent, kind, and tolerant Blue state liberals, or a bunch of hateful, ignorant, confederate-flag waving loathsome Red state reactionaries. Generally speaking, if it's the former, it's all good. |

I just wish the teabag posts here were of a higher intellectual quality. Taking quotes out of context and plastering "liberals want to ..." is just lame, insipid, boring, unimaginative.
Frankly, the insipid posts by our resident conservative keep me off this forum. Because it's not a debate if you just mention the words "freedom" and "government pit" over and over. If the conservative poster(s) here was actually up to the task of arguing on the economic and political merits of issues, now that would be interesting. |

Pp here...I totally agree with you on this one. BUT we'll just see how the kids with gay parents end up (most likely in a psychiatrists office). The issues they will have down to road will probably be epic. |
