Hamas basically made a counterproposal that said they would return dead hostages instead of living ones and "accepted" their own counterproposal. Just a deceitful move because no one will read past the headlines like the one you prepared for us above. |

I think you are misrepresenting the actual proposal. An Egyptian official and a Western diplomat said the draft Hamas accepted had only minor changes in wording from a version the U.S. had earlier pushed for with Israeli approval.
