If they are Iran linked, then yep.
The fun part comes when the ships are carrying oil to China.

The fun part comes when our prices go up and shortages occur because we can’t get products made in China due to blockade of oil.

Only in America does it make sense to bite the hand that feeds you.

Where are the factories Trump promised? Everything we consume and buy comes from China. Our own weapons come from China

This is exactly what we did in Venezuela and it worked. So I’m all for interdiction of any Iranian ships unless and until an agreement is reached.

What do you think we’ve been doing in Venezuela and how do you think it’d been working?

Iranian oil is the fuel for Chinas economy and by default our economy. The global economy is all linked and this war will have a domino effect of global recession if it continues

Comparing Venezuela to Iran is the faulty logic this administration made when underestimating Iran with this war. Iran had 40 years to prepare for this. Venezuela was caught completely off guard. Zero comparison here.

If we are already at the point of negotiations to open the strait with the regime we were supposed to get rid of with this war, what does that tell you? We flopped

You don't really close something you do not own. It's like saying a terrorist reopens a street just because they stopped shooting everyone who walks down it. We don't say "terrorist reopens street". We say "terrorist stops threatening the area."

It's a bit inaccurate to say that the US was engaged in war with Iran. Would it not be more accurate to say that they were engaged in a terrorist campaign against Iran?

No, it actually wouldn't. Attacking a belligerent, fanatical, tyrannical, murderous terrorist state in order to get it to stop being a terrorist state is hardly engaging in a terrorist campaign. But nice try.

No Trump and the Republicans attacked Iran because Israel told them to attack. Every accusation against Iran are things Israel and the US have and continue to do Iran- terrorists attacks inside Iran, attack Iran with proxies, bomb Iran, blow up embassies, assassinations, etc, etc. Isreal is many time worst vs Iran yet you ignore it. Why?

Israel and friends are making money off the betting markets for this war. They have inside info via spies in the administration. Blood money is the best money I guess.

Trump is scared of China. And he wants his summit with Xi next month to go well. The US is becoming increasingly irrelevant to China as they build a modern military while moving away from a dependency on oil. China is all in with renewables. And their new fifth generation fighters do seem capable. Plus, China can do so much damage to the US economically. I don't think Trump would seize tankers going to China. That is taking escalation to a whole new level. But you never know with Trump/Vance/Hegseth/Rubio. They have proven to be idiots over and over again.

China has all the raw mineral earth materials needed for our airplanes, rockets, phones, computers, drones, nuclear facilities, and more. How in the world did our leaders, past and present, allow this to occur is beyond all comprehension.

They were really cheap and not as widely used when it happened

Did it ever make sense? The Strait wasn't closed before Trump attacked Iran.

It's like deliberately smashing someone's vase and then expecting to be praised because you used Scotch tape to stick it back together.

On Sunday night as futures open, Trump will announce there's a deal and peace has been secured in our time. The Dow will soar another 1000 points. Meanwhile, airlines can't figure out where the hell they are going to get fuel for summer travel.

Is everyone convinced now that Trump is delusional because of his dementia? He had a manic episode yesterday, with patently unbelievable posts, which can happen in dementia patients. The less control he has about a situation, the most unhinged his posts become.

The rest of the world understand this. When is MAGA going to get it?

It’s genuinely terrifying that the world is now at the mercy of his dementia. There’s no way Iran can make a deal with him or trust that he won’t break it the very next day.

Which is why Iran is holding the Persian Gulf hostage. 20% less oil means the world cannot function (sadly, with East and South Asian countries first to suffer). Trump will be forced to make a deal at some point, even though the US is better equipped than most other nations to survive an oil squeeze, just because the American population are spoiled brats who can't deal with any pain or shortages. Whereas the Iranian regime is not afraid of dire shortages because its population is used to suffering.

It's a game of chicken, and Trump is known to TACO.

It seems like making a deal and then publicly announcing 30 minutes later that you’re violating the deal is not a great strategy. But what do I know? I’m not a developer from Queens!

It is if your goal is to manipulate the stock market for personal gain, apparently.
