hasn't that already all been promised away?

At the rate that McCarthy is giving up everything he can in exchange for votes, Boebert will probably end up chairing the rules committee

I heard McCarthy promised to vote for Gaetz.

I heard he promised to eat a bat on on the house floor while singing "crazy train"

It’s hard to believe Kevin has anything more to promise. I guess he believes in the power of positive thinking.

But. Now that he’s diluted the speakership he so desperately wants, it’s not clear that this congress will ever be able to move on. I’m not understanding how this will work in practice, if a single member can move to oust the speaker and he’s promised not to bring much in the way of appropriations bills. Isn’t that the primary function of the House? What am I missing here??

He's given up on the idea of the house governing

They're trying to adjourn until 10PM tonight. I wonder if they can fly Buck and Hunt in by then.

The poor clerk looks like she has aged 20 years this week. I admire her stamina, patience and professionalism.

Imagine the team meetings the Clerk's been having before the start and during breaks.

At least there were fewer outbursts today.

I wondered if Polosi or her team member was coaching Madam Clerk.

There is NO WAY I'm going to be here at 10pm

He's a prime example of the extreme primaries. He took Gilcrest's seat. Gilcrest was a moderate R who was very protective of the chesapeake bay. Harris is a MAGA power seaker without the pizazz of Gaetz.

Harris is an insufferable a-hole whose sole raison d’etre is to overturn elections and meddle in DC public policy and fiscal affairs.

That might be the strategy to get him over the top — less people voting

Will the six holdouts tumble? I hope they don't.

I’m doubting she needs coaching. There’s a Deputy Cletk, Reading Clerk and Parliamentarian.
