Whatever. To the people who are saying this is fear mongering- I’m totally fine with it.
Blue states are going to get a ton of jobs now. You think Disney won’t move? Disney will slowly move its creatives out. Keep its grunt workers in WDW. Major corporations see the writing on the wall- this will impact them in the worst way- hiring and keeping talent. Blue states are going to get all of the jobs. The rail truck from Mexico to Texas has been moved to New Mexico. Companies like Samsung and IBM are moving toward blue states. Heck- Amazon and Microsoft are planning contingencies if Youngkin stays in Virginia. For all of you conservatives- you’re going to find a huge brain drain. Not just in business but in all of your universities as women and men just don’t want to teach there. Your schools suck to begin with- my friend’s kid is getting paid to go to Alabama- as in not just tuition remission and room and board, a literal salary- and she turned it down. Striking down Roe v Wade basically cements the truth: Republicans are jerks who lie to get stupid people to vote for them. Next up: SALT remission. It’s time to make you red states pay even more. Screw all of you. |
What authority does a state have? If a state can do it, so can the federal government. |
|
The SCOTUS leaked ruling simply says let the state legislators decide the issue of abortion. This is actually the correct position. Keep the feds out of it and let the people thru their elected officials decide. The blue states will keep abortions legal and the reds will limit it to 15 weeks or so.
The hysteria over this is … well … hysterical. |
It’s 98 pages long so none of what it says is simple. Did you read it? |
Red states have limited abortion to 0 weeks. They've already done that. You think that's hysterically funny. |
And all the women in red states who didn’t vote for this deserve to die from coat hanger abortions anyway. |

Susan Collins, dimmest if the dim bulbs. But she was just re-elected in her unpopulated, elderly undiverse state.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) “If this leaked draft opinion is the final decision and this reporting is accurate, it would be completely inconsistent with what Justice [Neal] Gorsuch and Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh said in their hearings and in our meetings in my office,” Collins said in a statement. “Obviously, we won’t know each Justice’s decision and reasoning until the Supreme Court officially announces its opinion in this case.” |
Not if you have a uterus, or a child with a uterus, or a neighbor, sister, friend, relative, colleague, teacher, etc. With a uterus. |
Sure. I am happy to make blue states even richer. We need more nice stuff like quality schools and parks and museums. Also- if Biden had some balls, he would start closing military bases in red states. Let’s go Biden! |
Slavery is fine for the slave owners. |
What a nice person you are! So much for woman’s rights? First killing babies, now kill the woman’s. |
I think Schumer pointed out at the time that the judges said they viewed Roe as “settled law” but not that it was necessarily settled correctly. Collins heard what she wanted to hear and her faux outrage is ridiculous. |
| I’m a Catholic born and raised and I have to say I’ve never understood the insistence on treating fetuses like people. When I miscarried at 14 weeks, did anyone try to baptize it? No. So I guess I have a dead baby in limbo? What about my mother’s first trimester miscarriage, or my grandmother’s, or my sister’s? At some point someone pointed out that hypocrisy to the church and they started doing these masses for the miscarried and aborted babies…..but when my grandmother miscarried in 1931, no one was holding masses for her “baby” (and she went to mass daily and had lots of family and friends who were priests). Same with my mom in 1966. |
| I did not have this on my midterms bingo card |
So you willing to bet your life that republicans won’t pass federal ban at their first chance? |
