Why is Glenn Youngkin lying?

I knew Youngkin when he worked at McKinsey. He's a jerk.

We don't have to rely on anonymous posts from people claiming to have known McAuliffe in his younger days to know he's a jerk.

McAuliffe just posted about his commitment to public education, which he called the "engine" of growth in the state. He didn't bother to mention that he sent his own kids to expensive private schools, except for the kid he sent to NoVa's most economically segregated high school (Langley).

That's what they all do. Send their kids private and/or to the "best" public high schools.

It's just that the Democrats are outright hypocritical with their "choice for me and not for thee" behavior.

Which Democrats have proposed banning private schools, again?

Youngkin seems to say a lot about education without mention his kids' private educations either

Yeah, what does this even mean? Are democrats forcing you all to go to public school?

I don't t see this as a problem? Now, sending your kids to private school while choosing not to fund or better public schools would be bad. It's a good thing McAuliffe didn't do that. Wait. Who does that agin? Could it be the school choice party? Hmm//

Here you go. Straight from his campaign website. Not just policies, but plans.

https://www.youngkinforgovernor.com/post/glenn-youngkin-unveils-plan-to-support-our-veterans
Youngkin’s Veteran's plan will focus on Competing, Connecting, and Caring for our Veterans:

COMPETE

As governor, Glenn will accelerate processing by waiving administrative fees for permits and applications for small business start-ups for qualifying veterans. This will reduce barriers to entrepreneurship and allow more to enter the marketplace.
We will eliminate tax on military retirement pay.
We will expand the existing Child Care Subsidy Program, this will allow active-duty primary caregivers to apply for the program prior to separation and ensure there is no gap in childcare coverage in the first 90 days after transition.
CARE

We will ensure veterans are receiving the benefits they’ve earned by increasing the number of Veteran Service Officers (VSOs).
Virginia will develop a gold-standard digital hub to streamline access and foster collaboration across agencies, sectors, and businesses.
Critical positions will be filled at the Virginia Department of Veterans Services while unnecessary positions will be eliminated to free-up dollars and resources.
CONNECT

The Youngkin Administration will eliminate bureaucracy and successfully migrate qualified veterans to opportunities in law enforcement, teaching, and healthcare careers by reducing bureaucratic burden and creating bridge programs.
We will establish an equivalence of Training for military police and law enforcement, build on the existing Military Medics and Corpsman (MMAC) Program, and develop an approved RN program that allows military medics to enter the program as second semester students.
We will foster private-public partnerships with organizations that prioritize and provide peer and mentorship-related programs for transitioning veterans.

https://www.youngkinforgovernor.com/post/glenn-youngkin-unveils-plan-to-restore-academic-standard-of-excellence-in-virginia-schools

The first part of Youngkin’s education plan will focuses on Schools, Students, and Studies, and identifies key actions that can be taken to restore excellence in Virginia's schools, including:

SCHOOLS

Restore the standards by which our schools are measured to actual standards of excellence.
Improve school measurement metrics so we can all see how our schools are doing and where help is most needed.
Increase the number of Academic-Year governor’s Schools, like the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, with a variety of subject areas.
Ensure schools are never again closed unnecessarily for extended periods of time.
STUDENTS

Ensure all children can read, write, and understand math by third grade.
Equip our students to be the top performing students in the country.
Ensure students with disabilities receive all of the services, support, and procedural protections they are entitled to – and listen to parents and students.
Put the power back in the hands of parents by providing them with the information they need to make the best decisions for their children.
STUDIES

Offer more advanced math opportunities instead of holding students back from achievement.
Direct the Department of Education to preserve advanced math classes and the use of advanced diplomas.
Teach kids how to think, not what to think. Encourage critical thinking instead of Critical Race Theory.
Remove politics from the classroom and teach all U.S. history — the good and the bad.

https://www.youngkinforgovernor.com/post/glenn-youngkin-announces-plan-to-combat-human-trafficking-in-virginia

Youngkin’s plan includes three big goals and identifies key actions that can be taken to combat human trafficking, including:

ENFORCE

Create a Governor’s Anti-Trafficking Task Force utilizing the State Trafficking Response Coordinator.
Bring together the commonwealth attorneys, Survivor Advisory Council, and law enforcement to form a coalition and make this a bipartisan priority.
Increase prosecutions and impose jail time as opposed to just a fine. This will put pressure on the buyers and address the demand side of trafficking.
Partner with landlords, investigate IMB tax compliance (many don’t fully report revenue), and work with other private sector partners to shut down IMBs.
Ensure all Virginia law enforcement are thoroughly trained in identifying trafficking cases and interacting with victims.
Work with authorities to ensure social media and tech companies actively fight trafficking on their platforms and are held accountable if they don’t.
EMPOWER

Create a Survivor Advisory Council to receive insights on how to empower survivors.
Provide resources survivors need for mental and behavioral recovery and wellness, focusing on the tools they need to address their trauma moving forward.
Foster public/private partnerships to educate, train, and empower survivors through a career and path to a brighter future.
EDUCATE

Increase education about recognizing the signs of a potential trafficking victim and the appropriate ways to take action.
Require school online safety training and education on the amount of trafficking that occurs online, especially through social media.
Expand efforts to increase awareness of the National Trafficking Hotline and other resources for victims to report and get assistance in escaping trafficking.

Virtually every national and high-population state politician sends their kids to private high schools. Elizabeth Warren’s teen granddaughter goes to Harvard as a legacy, went to private k-12, and was, wait for it, a senate intern. What a coincidence!

not a serious candidate

The Washington Post just had an editorial in his tax plan which would eliminate 72% of the state's revenue. How to lay for that "oh growth will fix it". No, no it won't. That has literally never worked.

As a Virginian, if Virginia gutted all their services to slash taxes, it would kill everything that made me decide to live in this state.

Youngkin is a complete joke.

They should let McCaullife simply answer questions and address voters for that 2 hours.
