Moms that feel that an $800 stroller is worth it. |
Pleeease, tell us how you and your child look so when at the playground we don't come near you! |
|
OOH! Moms (and Dads) who have 3, 4 or more kids and then complain about traffic, overcrowded schools, etc. |
I shop at Whole Foods. There is one near my house and I love their pre-prepared ready to cook chicken and hamburgers. MMmm. I also don't think their prices are that out of line anymore now that they have competition, but mostly I just go there for the meals and the fruit tarts if I have a party. Earths Best babyfood is much less there and Vans waffles are a little less also. HOWEVER, their produce sucks. I oshop there and also at Giant/Safeway, Cotsco AND Trader Joes! |
Moms who generalize. Generally moms like to generalize, in general ![]() |
1. Moms who give a rat's ass where other moms shop.
2. Moms that hijack an amusing thread to debate the correct strategies for teaching children to be generous. 3. Moms who gang up on a poster with a different point of view, and do so in a nasty way that adds nothing to the debate. |
Women who aren't Moms yet posting on the Parenting forum with their parenting thoughts and advice. |
Why on earth would you care where someone else shops? Are these people thwarting your master plan to drive Whole Foods out of business? |
Gosh, I annoy so many people! Anything I do annoys someone - is there anyone out there who doesn't feel this way? |
Moms who buy "organic" baby food. How on earth is it better to feed a baby a processed food with a dozen ingredients, than just to buy a darn banana (organic, if that's your deal) and mash it up yourself?? So deluded. |
Yes, they are. The company underpays their employees. The place is always dirty and a lot of the people that shop there, are snobs. The Whole Foods shopping bag has now become the Tiffany's blue bag. I remembered when Whole Foods (used to be called Fresh Fields) first opened in this area. No one went there-it was the place where the granolas shopped. But now that organic is trendy, the place is making a killing and paying their staff organic peanuts. How do I know all this? I used to work there and believe me...it is not a happy place. Customers who like to say they are pro-environment would come in and take handfuls of the paper bags. Customers who think they are doing a good thing by paying premium prices for organic products don't realize that Whole Foods are buying ther produce from corporate woned farms that are driving the small farmers out of business. The fruit may be local, but it isn't Farmer John that is growing it. Consumers are so easily duped by the media and jumping on the bandwagon without really knowing the whole story. Just as a prior posted about buying an $800 stroller because you think it is better quality. Puleeze! If you can afford it-buy it. But you aren't getting a stroller that is magic. You are lining the pockets of the upper management of these companies. And for those regular moms that shop there because some of their products are cheaper--at least you are doing your homework and not being sucked into the "wholesome persona" of this store. |
And Giant and Safeway get their produce from local Farmer John? I don't get your logic. |
The funny thing is...we probably don't even know that we are annoying! ![]() That's what is so great about this thread-it is an eye opener! Why can't we all just love one another and stop being so judgemental! |
Oh. give me a break. Your children never sleep. Most major newspapers are now available online. Try spending some of your DCUM time catching up on current events. |
