What is the appeal of Glennon Doyle

I feel like this could be a satire of Glennon, Abby and Sister, not just the ladies of the UN

Can't stand her! Love Abby, though. Glennon wants to take on the issue du jour and claim it. I find her blatantly inauthentic.

The thing is, she and others like her - R Hollis, Dooce - are ovah. It's just not a thing the way it was in 2011.

Anyone remember her letter to her son back in her Momastery days where she told him to be kind to the underdog. She used his name, but I will not. She forgot to add "but not if it's a Jew." He attends one of the most antisemitic ivies in the news. Has she advised him to see how his Jewish peers are doing if he doesn't have Jewish friends?

Does she understand that she and Abby and not welcome in Hamas controlled Gaza no matter how woke and famous they are? Does she know even as recently as this month men merely suspected of being gay were hanged?

Does Glennon plan to fly out there in her yoga pants and resolve this? Would the broken pelvises from gang rape and murder matter if these women were black, woke blonde ladies, or someone she knew?

I think it was from her battle with drug addiction if I recall. Dooce seemed to always admit she was struggling with actively mental illness, but I had not followed her in a long time. Glennon seemed to waver between admitting she was struggling and making her struggles seem like they were in the past and she only went to therapy to maintain health, then suddenly she admits she has major, even potentially life threatening mental health struggles. On the one hand it's good to de-stigmatize mental health disorders, but she has a way of writing and speaking that makes people think she has the answers and is healed. It's like she is a patient in group therapy and people are letting her run the group without the credentials and clean bill of mental health.

She got popular writing a book called Untamed. Haven't read it.

What I do know is she rants about the patriarchy here in the US where women have endless freedoms, but supports a ceasefire in Gaza which would hand power back to Hamas. So apparently people who believe in beating your wife to keep her in line and a group that robs it's people of basic food and water and murders with glee should be in power. She doesn't condemn a terrorist group burning Jews alive in front of their family, repeating raping and beating men and women and murdering them. She doesn't condemn a group taking from it's own people. She doesn't condemn the fact that very dark skinned folks in Gaza are treated like trash. She probably has no clue Israel is diverse and the Arabs living in Israel are quite content (Israel does not rule Gaza) and that over 50% of the Jews there are from Africa or other parts of the middle east. She has no solutions she just joins the woke wagon. She really should just stick to coffee talk about mental health with real experts coming on her show and leave the Middle East to those who actually understand terrorism and radicalism.

Do you mean Jen Hatmaker? If so, I couldn't take how she treated the daughter she adopted. It broke my heart because she seemed like an awesome kid, though I hate that her privacy was violated. JH seemed much more genuine and authentic when she was younger and I remember being a fan of how she and her then husband embraced the other daughter being gay, but I am clearly gullible.
