She said that Georgia is "the worst state in the country to live." In elementary school, I learned that statements like that were opinions, not fact. Didn't you? And, if she has this opinion, I wonder why she lives there and continues to make millions while living there. |
I think Abrams true calling is as a bodice ripping novelist.
It shows her softer side. |
|
She’ll never win. Wait for it. Scandal is huge |
Love it or leave is old fascist and segregationist talk. She isn’t running to maintain the status quo. She’s a reformer running to improve the state. Georgia Republicans are trying to take Georgia backwards. Atlanta’s growth and prosperity is largely because of Black professional migration from the rest of the South, including people like Abrams parents who moved there from Mississippi. The white power state government wants to shut that down because Greater Atlanta outvoted they rest of the state in 2020. |
Everybody in Georgia knows what she means. They aren’t as stupid as you trolls think they are. |
+1. Anyone who is not white (and anyone who is white and not pretending that this dog whistle language is ok) knows exactly what Purdue is saying. And guess what-he still going to lose . |
Only to stupid people who don't understand the issue. But, since that is most americans, you're probably right. |
+1000 she wants to make Georgia better. That's why she's in politics. |
Oh please. She slipped when she was speaking and has recently noted that her comments were "inartful". But what she posted in her tweet was true and Kemp/Purdue can't refute that so he'd rather just attack her and tell her "go back to where she came from" rather than acknowledge that Georgia has material mortality statistics at the level that even poor countries would be ashamed of.
|
She "slipped." Ha ha. So, she believes GA is the worst place to live, but fails to acknowledge all the positive aspects of living in GA (as noted in numerous posts on this thread). She does not deserve to be governor. With her mindset, she would likely attempt to implement "transformational change" that the citizens of GA are not interested in. I have to wonder what she believes is the *best* place to live in the US. Perhaps she could take up residency there. |
How quickly these maga s forget that Trump literally told four minority lawmakers to go back where they came from. “In his latest round of racist attacks, President Trump has put Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in his crosshairs and signalled the theme for his re-election campaign. This time, he drew upon a classic racist refrain telling Omar, along with House Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib that if they, as he alleges, hate the United States so much “they should go back to the broken and crime-infested places from which they came“. Later at a campaign rally, he made a series of false claims about Omar as his supporters chanted “send her back“. In response to Trump, after receiving a warm welcome home from her own constituents, Omar defiantly reminded the crowd that she is what “hope in America looks like”, which makes her Trump’s nightmare. To this, Trump retorted: “She’s going to be the president’s nightmare? She’s lucky to be where she is…”” https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2019/7/24/the-long-history-of-black-americans-being-told-to-go-back I’m the PP to whom you’re replying and I think I erred in calling this a dog whistle. This is just a flat out aggressively racist statement, something meant to tell Black people that they will never, ever belong and don’t expect rights or decent treatment from Republicans and to tell White people that the GOP will preserve and protect white supremacy. |
Well the gop doesn’t want black voters. They were in the single digits in 2020. That’s barely more than rounding error . |
I live in Georgia. I take her at her word that what she believes is that Georgia is the worst possible state in which to live. |
