Love it or leave is old fascist and segregationist talk. She isn’t running to maintain the status quo. She’s a reformer running to improve the state. Georgia Republicans are trying to take Georgia backwards. Atlanta’s growth and prosperity is largely because of Black professional migration from the rest of the South, including people like Abrams parents who moved there from Mississippi. The white power state government wants to shut that down because Greater Atlanta outvoted they rest of the state in 2020.

Once again: how on earth is that "racist" in any way? She's not from Georgia, he is correct. She is from Wisconsin where perhaps she would be happier.

Take the phrase “go back where you came from” out of this context. It doesn’t mean, “you’re not from Georgia, you’re from Wisconsin!” it means “you don’t belong here.” Given that Black people are not infrequently told to “go back where you came from,” you know full well what he’s saying here.

I would imagine you were one of the people who liked to pretend that “macaca” was just a pet phrase George Allen used and he just happened to use it against that one person because he meant it lovingly. In other words: you’re a big ol’ racist but you know that’s bad so you pretend not to understand.

Oh please. She slipped when she was speaking and has recently noted that her comments were "inartful". But what she posted in her tweet was true and Kemp/Purdue can't refute that so he'd rather just attack her and tell her "go back to where she came from" rather than acknowledge that Georgia has material mortality statistics at the level that even poor countries would be ashamed of.

It was on Saturday when Abrams told a gathering of Democrats in Gwinnett County, “I am tired of hearing about being the best state in the country to do business when we are the worst state in the country to live.... When you’re number 48 for mental health, when you’re number one for maternal mortality...then you’re not the number one place to live in the United States.”

In fact, Georgia is at the bottom rankings among all 50 states for access to mental health services, although it has improved slightly, according to the United Way; Georgia is 45th worst, now, not 48th.

And the CDC continues to rank Georgia as having the worst maternal mortality rate of all 50 states.

I have to wonder what she believes is the *best* place to live in the US. Perhaps she could take up residency there.
