what will be GP's excuse for when then play Bullis this Spring?

The last time they played, Prep beat Bullis at their place on Senior Night in a very legit win. I do agree Bullis has the better coaching.

The talent level in the 23 and 24 classes is just way higher in the DC area than Baltimore. Bullis, Prep, Landon, Gonzaga, and St. John’s all loading up on the strength of those classes. Calvert Hall still probably the team to beat, but DC is rising.

Times have changed, 2023 and 2024 classes in DC will crush the Baltimore competition in the future. Would love to see the infamous MIAA play both the winners of the IAC and WCAC at the end of every season!

Great idea! Would be great games and interesting to see the talent across schools and areas each year.

Time well tell, but it’s hard to argue that 2023 and 2024 are not the deepest classes we’ve seen in DC. Other years saw enough talent to field a really great club. E.g. Madlax 2018, 2019 or DCE 2021. But 2023 has enough to field the DC Dogs which are one of the best in the nation, plus NL, DCE and VLC which are all fielding strong teams. Similar with 2024.

Lots of really good players. No one school is getting them all. They are spread between Landon, Prep, Zaga, SJC, Bullis and some others. Going to be some very exciting lacrosse when they get to play.

Some of the best 2023s played Varsity last spring, this summer, and fall so they have had experience. Sure 2023s huge class of lax talent is spread out over multiple schools, but the majority of players are at Prep. Prep has players from DC Dogs (majority of players), DCE, NL, and maybe others. The 2023 class at Prep has over 20 serious players.

Well you only need about 16 total, so sounds like a lot of great players will be on the bench. Sounds like fun. Oh...and 23 fogo just left for iMG. He's a stud too.

Those 23s did not play in the SJC game. Game was not close and if it wasn't for the Fogo, would have been worse. Landon was much better and that Michigan commit is pretty strong. Not sure of transfer scene for any local privates in DMV (not counting MIAA). Are there any?

Not too go off the GP bashing but the fogo is leaving because they are actually playing sports and going to school in Florida and elsewhere around the country. Even NYC is trying to get things going but not here. Ok - back to the bashing.

PVI got 8-10 good transfers in both ‘23 and ‘22 including a D1 commit

We hear this time and time again on this website... GP always gets the hype... "this is the year" "our 2019 class is loaded etc. etc."

The 17 year old sophomores at GP physical and maturity gap will start to fade and come back down to reality when players fro opposing programs hit their growth spurts.

GP would have some IAC banners since Giblin left if this was really the case.

'23 FOGO is amazing, but have not heard that he has left Prep so not sure this is true. He played all Fall with DC Dogs, Prep, and various all star national teams. Prep Lax this spring is not done yet especially with the vaccine rolling out. Not to mention he will have DC Dogs practice and games starting late spring. He is such a top prospect he doesn't even really need to go anywhere else to play this spring he will do just fine in the college recruiting game next fall.

Would the '23 Fogo play? Not over the '22 Fogo who came up from Richmond and plays for DCE. Maybe that's the reason he left. IAC and top WCAC schools are playing this year in some form, even if it's not under the league umbrella.

What vaccine? At this rate, we are looking at Fall school and sports being in jeopardy. EQUITY!
