Seriously! If someone doesn't see a problem when an event that ends at 9:03 PM doesn't get the last participants back to their cars until 11:45 PM, leaving them waiting outside in freezing, windy temperatures, then I don't know what to say.

“The Omaha Airport Authority said the Trump campaign rented 40 buses to transport people from remote parking lots to the event site and ran them for 10 hours. The bus company confirmed Wednesday that those drivers were paid, deflating another incorrect rumor circulating on social media.

OPD said additional Metro Area Transit buses were called in after the event to help transport people away from the rally.

Transportation from the site to parking areas began immediately following the event, an OAA spokesman said, but many people opted to forego the wait for a bus ride and walk back to their vehicles. OPD said the shortest walk back to a parking lot was 2.5 miles and that “foot traffic on Lindberg Drive slowed bus traffic and delayed bus trips considerably.”

All of that is 100% predictable and should have been planned for. If it is that hard to get in and out this was a terrible site for a public event of this size.

There was no claim that the bus drivers weren't paid. The claim was that the bus companies weren't paid by trump. I'm sure the bus company paid their own drivers.

That was a misunderstanding based on a news story from a year ago that somehow resurfaced during the Omaha debacle. Organizers of a “March for Trump” rally booked charter buses to take people from all over the east coast to DC for a rally to oppose impeachment. The buses never showed to the pick-up sites, though, because all the credit cards given to the charter company by the organizers were declined when the charter company tried to process payment.

It's my personal opinion that no one is going to Biden rallies because Democrats know there's a freaking pandemic going on. They're saving their time and energy to vote in-person or by mail.

That's exactly why some needed medical intervention. It had nothing to do with the weather conditions and being abandoned to sort it out for themselves -- it was the religious ecstasy and the chanting. Some people are just more emotional than others.

Well, sure, they were paid AFTER this blew up on social media, but NOT at the time and place originally agreed on.

This is just like all those contractors Trump stiffed for his buildings. Most of them never got paid, presumably because back then he didn't have an ongoing re-election to protect, so tought news for them.
