Best Meal to Bring New Mom

The best mealtrains are the ones where the parents don't want you to bring food. They want giftcards to grocery stores and Ubereats/Postmates/Seamless. Like, let's cut to the chase: this is a total cash grab.

Maybe the losers you associate with. I can buy my own delivery food. The point is to do something nice for a fellow human. I know that is a very difficult concept for you to understand.

Lol. No she's saying that she can afford her own takeout but that she thinks that "you" should give her a gift card in order to be a nice human being.

OR- Ha, no...I'm saying yes I can buy my own takeout, what I appreciate is someone bringing me something homemade, because that's the point. Doing something nice for someone. UNLIKE your tacky self, who is apparently incapable of understanding the intricacies of human kindness. But something tells me you don't have many friends. Or kids even.

And I am saying it is rude and tacky to dictate how people support you as nice human beings. Help with the baby? Bring over dinner? Clean up around the house? Sure. Saying, "Send money/giftcards. Kthanxbye" is really poor manners. UMC people asking for this is ridiculous. The spirit of the mealtrain is lost when you might as well be asking your friends to Venmo you money.

Oh, O.k. So someone giving you a gift card is tacky. You want homemade. Gotcha.

Just fork over the cash and gift cards. Nobody needs your opinion![/quot Nothing at all cash grabby about a family with a 500k income with a "just fork over the cash!" attitude. It takes a village I guess. A village of donors.
