Princess Haya knew the ways of the Royal family of Dubai before she got married. She also had an affair with her bodyguard on top of her original money hungry decision. I have no sympathy for her.

Was her H monogamous?

He had multiple wives when she married him. They were a part of the package.

So she can have multiple partners too. Heck, why not multiple husbands?!

That’s not how it works and Haya of all people knew that. She could have married a European man if monogamy was important.

Why is that? Could it be that maybe women have less rights?

In the UAE, are you sure? I could have sworn that they were a western democracy with equal right for everyone

Not too concerned about the topic but finding the personalities on this thread to be interesting.

No one said she is. She isn’t his victim either. She was always in it for the hustle.

Umm if living in fear of your ex husband assassinating you for having the temerity to leave him doesn’t make you a “victim,” then what does???

She could have left him without focking the help and it would have been a peaceful divorce. But she didn’t want a peaceful divorce. She wanted to enrage him and pretend to be a victim to elicit international sympathies. Because otherwise it would have been a normal Arab divorce with the father keeping custody. For Haya to get the money and the kids, it was imperative to look like a victim.

You’re a psychopath.

I’m only telling you what’s common knowledge. Why would a beautiful, western educated woman marry a known autocrat with three wives and a gaggle of children, much older than her, and not blessed with beauty, charm or wit? Six billion reasons plus a promise to be a “western society” wife who gets taken to the races. Come on. Look at the situation with sober eyes.

Umm marrying for money and having an affair does not give your spouse an excuse to murder you. This seems basic.

We only have Haya’s word for that.

The fact that the man kidnaps his own kids appears to give her credibility.

Why did she marry a guy who kidnaps his children and has three other wives (that we know of)?

She married him in 2004 and he kidnapped his daughter in 2018. Him having three other wives makes it fair for her to have affairs with 3 other men consecutively. I hope she enjoys that handsome bodyguard.

Absolutely, just with an extra dash of wife beating, women killing, marital rape, obligation to live with your ILs, and lots of required obedience, like at the american kennel club. Also a judge needs to excuse you if you can't breastfeed. Pumped milk does not count, the law requires "suckling".

Your ignorance of the matter is nothing short of astounding.

Her ex husband has an OLDER daughter, Princess Shamsa, who has been imprisoned since 2002 - a fact well known to Haya before their nuptials but not enough to dampen the allure of his billions.

Moreover, in the aftermath of the Latifa affair, it was Haya who arranged for her friend Mary Robinson to travel to the UAE and stand next to the dazed Latifa swearing up and down that this is nothing but a family disagreement and the little Latifa simply MUST be kept within the family walls to protect her from evil people trying to take advantage of this fragile, vulnerable flower. Don't forget that Haya took a starring role in trying to convince the world that it was all a big fat misunderstanding.

Whatever the troubles of the Sheikh's daughters, Haya cares about them about as much as they care about Haya, which is none at all.

Haya was also well aware of his other wives, and their place in the Dubai society. UAE never had any use for her, and Sheikha Hind, the first lady of Dubai and the mother of his twelve children, made sure that nothing but crumbs will be left for Haya's children.

Oh well. You can give the woman a million dollars but you cannot tell the woman that her real dress size is about +2 from what she thinks it is.

Your comment is an interesting departure from the usual scorn DCUM metes out to cheating husbands and their betrayed wives. I take it you feel nothing of the sort toward the bodyguard's wife?

Princess Haya's bodyguard lover was not involved in an alleged blackmail plot that saw her pay £7million to keep the affair quiet, according to his friends and former colleagues.

They insisted former soldier Russell Flowers did not demand any money at the end of their two-year affair.

Instead, he was paid £1.2m as part of a deal to sign a non-disclosure agreement that prevents him from ever speaking about the relationship with the wife of the billionaire ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum.

The affair ended Flowers's four year marriage and left his wife 'devastated' by the betrayal.

Her friends said she told them her former husband, 37, had been seduced by the 46-year-old princess, whose expensive presents included a £12,000 watch and a £50,000 vintage shotgun.

Flowers was assigned to the Princess when he joined her security team at the 3,000-acre Dalham Hall estate near Newmarket in Suffolk.

Friends said he would have an adjoining hotel room on overseas trips and the Princess lavished him with expensive gifts, including a vintage shotgun, watch and personalised number plate.

His wife discovered the affair when she saw photos of the Princess in a bikini on his mobile phone and condoms in his washbag.

A close friend of his wife told MailOnline: 'Russell's wife believed he was seduced by the money and gifts. She gave him lots of expensive gifts and made sure that he was always by her side.'

During the High Court hearing the opulent lifestyle of the Princess and her 72-year-old husband was revealed with one example being £2m being spent on strawberries in one year.

Better than her husband. Talking about drinking, could you please share your thoughts about the citizens drinking alcohol on boats, investing billions in private equity with interests in the Las Vegas casinos and the prince having gay orgies with lots of extasy and other drugs. Is that acceptable? I'd live to hear your thoughts on that.

Haya is actually the sixth wife.

Haya’s own father seems to have liked his kids but he famously had a wandering eye and was married 4 times. He wed his final wife just a year after Haya’s mother died tragically. No great role models there.

The problem is not Haya. The problem is the law allowing women to be treated like cattle. Don't forget that her half-brother had to approve her marriage, so basically any man suitable for her would have several other wives. It's not like her guardian / half-brother would have allowed her to marry a Lutheran, buy a McMansion in McLean, and settle into a life of yoga, Whole Foods, and complaining about the AAP and class size at Chesterbrook ES. And stop with the body shaming, she looks great for a 47 y/o with 2 kids. Her H looks like a combo between the rat from Ratatouille and a beaver and he wears the most unfortunate baggy pants. Why not comment on his looks?
