No one said she is. She isn’t his victim either. She was always in it for the hustle.

Umm if living in fear of your ex husband assassinating you for having the temerity to leave him doesn’t make you a “victim,” then what does???

There’s nothing more wrong than the way we treat African American and Latinos in this country. Please get off your high horse.

Incorrect - we get shared custody of the children here and our husbands don't have 30 kids with 5 wives. Middle East is still stuck in the dark ages and women barely have any rights. You get off your high horse. It's horrible to be a woman in the Middle East - Hispanic who worked in Dubai.

Large families with multiple wives only pertains to the ultra rich and or royal families of the Gulf Arab states. The majority of Gulf Arabs are normal. I grew up there. Please don’t spew your uninformed and xenophobic comments here. The ultra rich in America have a wife and several mistresses. Men like that even became our President. It doesn’t mean most American families are like that.

Normal, plus a bit of not quite but almost slavery.

She could have left him without focking the help and it would have been a peaceful divorce. But she didn’t want a peaceful divorce. She wanted to enrage him and pretend to be a victim to elicit international sympathies. Because otherwise it would have been a normal Arab divorce with the father keeping custody. For Haya to get the money and the kids, it was imperative to look like a victim.

The ex-husband in question is a mentally ill, control-freak misogynist, who has kidnapped some of his daughters who tried to escape his clutches.

I will not criticize any female relative of his who tries to escape from him and makes off with some of his millions, because they will need every protection they can get. They might end up murdered.

Princess Haya knew the ways of the Royal family of Dubai before she got married. She also had an affair with her bodyguard on top of her original money hungry decision. I have no sympathy for her.

Was her H monogamous?

He had multiple wives when she married him. They were a part of the package.

So she can have multiple partners too. Heck, why not multiple husbands?!

That’s not how it works and Haya of all people knew that. She could have married a European man if monogamy was important.

I’m only telling you what’s common knowledge. Why would a beautiful, western educated woman marry a known autocrat with three wives and a gaggle of children, much older than her, and not blessed with beauty, charm or wit? Six billion reasons plus a promise to be a “western society” wife who gets taken to the races. Come on. Look at the situation with sober eyes.

Umm marrying for money and having an affair does not give your spouse an excuse to murder you. This seems basic.

Marrying into a royal family where adultery results in death shouldn't have been a surprise to her either

How majorly f***ed up is this?! The audacity of a mom trying to have custody of the children too and not give them up to a psychotic, egomaniac crazy person who has 30+ other kids, some of them kidnapped.

We only have Haya’s word for that.

You seem to have a very colonialist mindset, why do you hate other cultures?

The fact that the man kidnaps his own kids appears to give her credibility.

Nobody held a gun to her head to marry him. He already had three other wives, 30 children and a daughter locked up when she married him. Haya’s father kept custody of all his kids after he divorced his wives. All of this was known to Haya.

Why is that? Could it be that maybe women have less rights?
