Don’t worry, honey. No one is “going after guns”.

And we can handle healthcare, education, AND guns. No McConnells in the GA so they can get many things done.

This is pretty creepy, are you a man or a woman?

What is creepy about the General Assembly getting sh1t done? Honey.

Calling a me honey again. Must be lonely, do you want to meet up at Politics & Prose for an evening of liberal debauchery?

Sounds good, honey. Not sure you can handle all of the facts and reality though.

Reality is your an obese stay at home loser who wears wooden jewelry. But I'm still willing to give you a chance. Please, lets at least get a scone or a gallon of ice cream.

Reality is “your” an uneducated, irrational loser. Honey.

Come on babe don't be that way, I'll even take you to Lane Bryant if you just give me a chance.

Funny that you assume I’m a woman, honey.

Did you sleep with your guns last night? Since you’re so afraid I’m going to come and take your guns?

Maybe I just assumed you were since you kept calling me "honey". Now, if you are in fact a man who shops at Lane Bryant and refers to men and other strangers as "honey", we can get back on track because I know what the "#1 Priority for a Blue VA?" should be.

Priorities should be:
- gun control
- education funding
- election protection/gerrymandering
- require full financial disclosure for presidential ballot
- anti-corruption/dark money
- ERA
- invest in renewable energy

Honey.

I couldn't think of anything better than making it impossible for your kind to own firearms. You may start out as a creepy internet stalker, but who knows where it will end.

You are quite out of touch with reality, honey. And it sounds like you are projecting.

Why is it that the stupid, crazy people are the ones pushing for no gun control?

Because they are irrational. They think you lefty nuts are coming for their guns. In a way you guys are a match made in heaven and somewhat cancel each other out. So us average guys and gals keep on being responsible gun owners in our great communities and the world keeps spinning.

Glad you are pushing for stricter gun control.

In truth, so-called "assault rifles" are responsible for around 500 deaths per yearand those numbers have been consistent for decades. That FBI statistic ALSO includes accidents, self-defense shootings, and shootings by police in line-of-duty. It isn't about addressing violence (there are any number of more effective ways to do that), but rather a desire to eliminate what is a symbol of rugged individualism and traditional American values. It's also about control. We only have to the past to see what Leftist ("Blue") values lead to... simply read The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn to see where they want to take us.

We all want a better, safer world for our children to grow up in. The difference is a choice between self-determination and slavery. I carry a gun for a living, and I am a gun owner. I choose freedom and the right to decide my own future. I am an American.

I hope your gun licenses are terminated. We would all be safer without so many guns being sold in Virginia and then trafficked up and down the East Coast.

Your "American" values have led to far too many deaths of innocent civilians, at a level that no other purportedly civilized country would tolerate. And most Virginians want to see an end to the carnage and lives lost to gun violence. If you are prepared to sacrifice your own to defend your inflated sense of personal liberty, that's a price worth paying if it saves the lives of innocent children.

Virginia doesn't have gun licenses. You can get a concealed carry permit. You don't need a permit to walk around with a visible firearm in public, but its probably best to get a permit instead unless you're trying to make a political statement as it freaks out a lot of people who immigrated from the north east.

Get more illegals in, raise taxes and threaten people rights.

Please restate slightly to threaten hard-working, law abiding, citizens’ rights; fraudulently bloat voter roles; and redistribute wealth and arms to criminals and lazy people. Sounds like Venezuela to me ...

I was going more fore Cuba, but yes. I have seen no evidence to the contrary that we are moving in that direction. We want more illegals, we want to raise taxes, and we want to strip people of their 2A rights. At least I can own it unlike most.

Climate is THE existential threat of our lifetime, that needs to be priority number one. Many things the Dems can do on this while helping develop good high paying jobs - create a tree canopy/restoration corps, increase training for people to transition to clean energy fields from coal and natural gas, transition all government vehicles to electric, including the buses so kids aren't sitting in asthma inducing diesel fumes on their way to school. Provide tax breaks and subsidies for more solar, wind, geothermal and hydro. Leave nuclear alone until we're off fossil fuels. If the Dems do this VA will continue to be a leader in technology and jobs as we harness the new economy.

Yes, we need less violence and loss of life from guns, but we don't need that getting in the way of making progress on the environment. Our kids are asthmatic, allergy prone and the rates of disability keep increasing due to all the toxins from fossil fuels, tackle that first before its too late.

Agreed, climate should be the priority... renewables, cleaning up the air and water, etc... the Potomac and Chesapeake are choking on plastic, how about tackling those?

Speed cameras. It’s ridiculous Va has no speed cameras.

Why? Don't speed.

I would much rather have those cameras than get points on my license. Yes, they are annoying but who cares if you don't speed it's not a big deal. If you do own it.

It's amazing how eager the modern left is to control every aspect of our lives. Reading this thread is just shocking; there must not be a single libertarian-leaning lefty remaining in northern Virginia.

To put basically your entire life in the hands of a government, a government that has proven again and again its failures. Obviously people no longer care for the lessons of history... or today.

Like that speed camera on 295 in Southeast DC? Everyone knows about it, traffic slows down dramatically, and then people speed up again.

It has nothing to do with safety. It is all about harvesting revenue

It’s a stupid tax. If you are stupid enough to speed, you pay a tax.
