And the Times has a profile on the ambassador who got dumped so that Rudy could run our Ukraine Policy.

How did Rudy get paid?
https://medium.com/@PortlusGlam/rogue-agent-how-rudy-giuliani-got-paid-by-the-government-of-ukraine-to-influence-u-s-78d87fa3a886 Since 2017, Giuliani has earned $14M+ from foreign goverments, oligarchs, & unknown others while negotiating quid-pro-quo deals for Trump. Totally above board. |
Seriously doubt Volker or any other non-political FSO helped Rudy of their own volition. They would only do so on instructions from a superior authority that was political. Pompeo and/or someone at WH ordered them to do this, and I guarantee you there’s an electronic or paper record trail. The State department has a chain of command and hierarchy, and the only people who violate it are political appointees. Signed, a State political appointee from a prior administration. |
Isn't it a violation of bar rules for a lawyer to he out freelancing without a definitive client? |

And Giuliani won’t say whether he has a government security clearance, which should certainly be a requirement for anyone running around conducting US foreign policy.

Giuliani set to make paid appearance next week at Kremlin-backed conference that includes Putin

I'm the OP. Had a long drive to the funeral of an old neighbor today and listened to NPR a lot, after watching most of McGuire's testimony last night.
Re: Giuliani, what most strikes me is that we just can't have the attorney for the president as an individual also represent the president as president. Period. Whether anything like that has happened in the past I have no idea, I think probably not, but this can never be allowed in the future. I heard Jim Jordan (don't know where he was speaking) on NPR today, basically arguing that everything the president does always represents the best interests of the nation. Is he that much of a lunatic? Clearly, then, the impeachment clause of the Constitution has been written out. |
He supposedly just canceled, after the news went public. |
Several legal experts who used to work with Rudy Giuliani told NBCNews they believe his conduct in pushing the Biden probe likely broke the law.

I'm sure that Rudy got Trump to promise him a pardon if it all went to hell. It's like in The Three Musketeers when d'Artagnan pulls out the blanket pardon Cardinal Richelieu gave Milady. D'Artagnan: [reciting from memory the letter Richelieu wrote giving Milady de Winter permission to kill Buckingham, d'Artagnan and Constance, as Richelieu reads the actual note which D'Artagnan has handed him] "By my order and for the good of the state, the bearer has done what has been done." Cardinal Richelieu: Hm. One should be careful what one writes... [he tears up the note] and to whom one gives it. I must bear those rules in mind. |
But here is his speech from last year. Quite eye-opening. https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-inc-podcast-rudy-giuliani-mystery-trips-to-russia-armenia-and-ukraine |
“Experts on Ukrainian politics have largely debunked the accusations against Biden and others as conspiracy theories. Even the Ukrainian prosecutor who originally brought attention to the matter has walked back some of his claims. The prosecutor, Yuri Lutsenko, was introduced to Giuliani thanks to Fruman and Parnas, according to media accounts and interviews.
To Dianne and Michael Pues, it’s no surprise Parnas has helped inject a stream of apparent misinformation into the public discourse. “Mr. Parnas is a con man, he is a crook,” Dianne Pues said. “He conned us from day one.” https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/article235626327.html#storylink=cpy |
This isn't a matter of Trump trying to find dirt, he is outright trying to manufacture something that isn't there.
It is really sad that 35% of Americans continue to believe this president. |
