All it takes is one...to what? Show me ONE man's life ruined by a false allegation.

Here is just one such story.
This Army Colonel was on the verge of being promoted to Brigadier General when the false allegations were made.

In the end, the jury awarded him a nice settlement (most of which he will probably never see), but if you don't think his life was hell during the investigation - you are crazy.
And, he never got the promotion.

I'm sure that was troublesome for him, but it isn't fair to say that his life was ruined.

Just stop. And, then go pick up the book, Accused, by Tonya Craft.
This happens to be a woman who was falsely accused. She went through pure hell.
It doesn't matter if it is a man or woman. A false accusation is devastating.

Also, you may remember the case of the PE teacher in FCPS named Sean Lanigan. Not only HE went through hell, but so did his family and the community. His reputation was shot.
Not sure he ever fully recovered.

Do you care about the thousands upon thousands of women's lives who are ruined by men who harass, assault, and intimate them?

DP. It is quite possible to be concerned about both. Clearly, you’re not grasping this.

He didn't refuse her access. He told her that a male colleague would need to be present. Nothing at all wrong with that.

In this #MeToo era, one just cannot be too careful. Good for him.

This is like f-ing sharia law. Disgusting and indefensible.

Not even close.

If she doesn't want to have another male colleague present, she can refuse the interview. Simple.

Nobody is forcing her to do anything she doesn't want to do.

Did you even read that post before you hit "submit"?

Tell me how that's NOT a taliban policy.

You are seriously in need of psychiatric help. Wow.

NP-so your answer when someone asks you to explain how this GOP candidate's policy differs from the Taliban's restrictions on women is to hurl insults?

When you discriminate against women in the pursuit of Christianity it's fine, but when Muslims do it, they're misogynistic haters.

You cannot be serious. I really hope no one you love - your husband, son, father, brother, friend - is ever falsely accused of sexual assault.

Spare us your faux Fox News outrage. There's orders of magnitude more women who have been raped and killed by men who went unpunished than there are men accused falsely of rape.

The only people outraged here are - as usual - liberals. Everyone else has been calmly explaining why this is not a big deal, yet you people have called him “American Taliban” and a potential rapist. Is it any wonder why he’s made this decision? Do you see how utterly looney you are and why someone would be proactive in protecting his reputation? Get a clue.

That you can equate a man saying he doesn’t want to be alone with a particular woman, to the TALIBAN’s medieval restrictions on all women says more about you than any insult ever could.

I’m not a liberal, despite your narrow minded stereotyping, but I still think Foster is a Neanderthal.

So you can’t explain it? Got it. I can’t either-I’m embarrassed that our great country has candidates this backwards.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion, as are the rest of us who disagree. Given that this particular reporter clearly has her own agenda to begin with, I think he made the right call.

Given that this story made news from CBS to the local mississippi papers, because of the candidate’s discriminatory behavior, i doubt that there are many who disagree. If there are, perhaps we should be encouraging women not to go into journalism because they won’t be permitted to cover Male subjects.

Until you have experienced a true Mississippi diva spinning a huge lie, spread through their sweet tea on the porch network under the watchful eye of the matriarch and patriarch, you all should heed Foster's common sense or wear a body cam.

Maybe this guy would just really like some private time with a young male reporter.

So you think if the paper assigned a different female reporter instead, this guy would be cool with it? Because it’s about this particular women, and not about restricting all women?

Your calm explanations make sense under a caliphate and less so in our secular, egalitarian society where all normal people are rightfully baffled by this crazy man's statements.

How about this: Your lawyer daughter can't pay off her school loans because the firm's biggest male client refuses to allow her to meet with him unless she brings along a male chaperone, and the client also won't pay for double billing. So they just give the client to the make lawyer and fire your daughter. Does that sound a little more outrageous to you? Or still ok because your daughter should be home fixing dinner and cleaning the floors instead of working and having a public life anyway? Maybe you'd like it better if there were all-female law firms that only served female clients because how dare those uppity women be comingling with men anyway.

Leave it to liberals to paint the narrative that he is choosing to make this decision because HE can't control himself.

It is thanks to the #BelieveHer at all costs movement that has forced men to make decisions like this.

He is protecting himself. I can't blame him.

Men make false allegations too. Why not just have an aide with him at all times?
