this reporter literally could not DO HER JOB because of this a**. If employers were allowed to have this policy then yeah, women would not be able to work. Or be anywhere alone with a man. |
Actually, it's absolutely relevant and you know it. It gets to the very issue that you seem unwilling to address. Would you believe him or her? |
You people are obsessed with sex. Foster could just as easily accuse her of sexual misconduct. Record the damn meeting. |
What were the circumstances? What type of sexual misconduct? What is the evidence? What did she say happened? What did he say happened? And what was she spending “lots of time alone with him” on the campaign trail? Were they alone in a car driving? Phone data will say if they stopped in a remote area. Otherwise, wouldn’t he be, you know, campaigning? |
He could plant drugs on her and say she’s an addict. Who would you believe? |
According to the FBI only 2% of accusations of rape and related sexual offenses are determined to be false. This is the same as the rate of false accusations of other felonies. So I would be inclined to believe the accusation |
And you wonder why he's refusing to be alone with her. |
Men murder people at a higher rate than women falsely accuse men of sexual harassment. Given your logic he should therefore never meet alone with men because he’s more likely to be murdered by one of them than he is to be falsely accused by shy of the women he refuses to be alone with. Refute that. |
You know who records a lot of meetings? REPORTERS. |

Alexandra Petri weighs in:
“You understand, I have this horrible condition. I have had it for years. I am incapable of seeing women as people. It used to be possible to get by in political life in this country with this condition. You would just move around a smoky room, speaking only to men, and you could have a nice career. But now, oh, these things, these things are everywhere. Holding elected office, performing jobs, playing soccer! You must understand my agony when I behold this.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/07/11/do-not-leave-me-alone-with-woman/?utm_term=.e91266d1b1a9#click=https://t.co/rMTi87bbQm |
I hope you are not raising your sons this way. What enfeebled women they will marry. |

With this rule, how is a male supervisor supposed to have a confidential performance review with a female subordinate if they need to do it in the open? If the bosses are all male does that mean only the women get to have public airings of their evaluations?
Do you people NEVER have conversations at work with someone that should not go beyond the doors of your office? |
|
Do the men who keep to this rule apply it if they're meeting with women who are old enough to be their grandmother?
What about trans women? |
Nice deflection. Try actually answering the question next time. |
Why don't you try actually answering the question of why such men don't avoid meeting alone with other men when men are statistically more likely to murder you than woman are to falsely accuse you of something? Why don't you try actually answering the question of how women employees are supposed to have confidential meetings with their bosses or colleagues - say for a performance review - when the doors always have to be open and presumably anyone walking by can overhear? Meaning male employees can have confidential evaluations of their work but not women if all the bosses are men. Why won't you answer these? Probably because you're a hypocrite who knows there's not a decent answer. |
