Villarreal Virginia Academy: imploding?

Anonymous
Villarreal is definitely committed to VIVA for the next year. Villareal as a soccer team is very different than the Barcelona's of the world. They serve a smaller market and compete with fewer resources, but yet the team has found a way to survive and at times flourish in la Liga, by focusing on player development and the community. That's why Villareal was drawn to Annandale...both have always had something to prove. The following are good articles:

There was a team managers meeting last week and Steve Lee’s exact quote to the group was, “I’m just a soccer coach. I’m not qualified for this and don’t even want to be in this role. I’m only here because I’ve been with the club the longest”

ABGC new director doesn’t even want the job HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! Some of us wanted to speak up and say, “You’re not even qualified to be a soccer coach!” The team managers who have had the misfortune of working with him for a season or more can relate to how incredibly disorganized he is. Great person to have as your new director!!! HAHAHAAHAHA!!!!

What a mess. So ABGC has someone in charge that’s under qualified. The person running VIVA has been accused of and has a reputation for embezzling funds. All the signs are there people, run for the hills!

* Accusation were made by the club with a director who doesn’t even want the job and admitted he’s not qualified. Given that his entire approach to being director is to launch unsupported accusations and empty threats at lawsuits, it’s obvious he was sincere when he said he’s not qualified.

Show me a case number and I’ll start thinking about the “accusations” Litttle Stevie is making.

If VIVA (Bo/Carlos) are as terrible and dishonest as the trolls here claim then answer this one critical question, “Why would a La Liga team with a reputation at stake stick with them?” And that was the entire point of the terroristic letter ABGC issued Monday ... they tried to scare away Spain. They know they can’t run a travel program so they are only left with wearing suicide vests and trying to blow up VIVA.

Go back to your bingo stand and taking social security money from senior citizens. And ask your stooge of a leader why his wife works for McLean travel. Too embarrassed by ABGC and the goon squad?

I have no insight into this, but I can assure you "Why would a La Liga team stick with them?" is not a valid defense. Check out the Rayo OKC fiasco.

First Villareal bolted! (can't blame them) Now it looks like the legal issues just began for VIVA, Bo and Carlos (Hope they saved some money up)

[May 20, 2019] Annandale Boys & Girls Club (ABGC) was shocked to discover that, without any
notice to ABGC, now former representatives of ABGC Bo Amato and Carlos Aranda in association
with Villareal Virginia Academy (VIVA) formed a separate entity and are now attempting to divert
current ABGC players to a new club.
The ABGC Board of Directors voted in an emergency session tonight to retain a law firm to file a
lawsuit against Bo Amato, Carlos Aranda, and Villareal Virginia Academy (VIVA) to enjoin them from
further diverting ABGC players and resources.
ABGC Travel and Recreation soccer programs will continue under the leadership of Steve Lee and
Trevor Parker, Technical Directors. ABGC is grateful for the efforts of Steve and Trevor as they
continue running the travel soccer tryouts for next fall.
ABGC will continue to move forward with the coaches, managers, staff, and resources that have been
the standard of excellence at ABGC for over 60 years.
For any families that have paid VIVA for the fall season, rest assured that ABGC will honor that
payment and take all necessary steps to have the money credited to AGBC. We will continue to keep
you informed as this process moves forward
As always, you can register for the upcoming season at abgc.org.

The lawyers from both sides already laughed at that press release and found it hard to believe ABGC didn’t know about the creation of VIVA a year ago! Obviously the lawyers underestimated the incompetence and mental ability of ABGC!

Also, companies do have insurance policies against lame frivolous lawsuits. Everyone does know this, yes?

So, where is the case number, Steve? Go ahead and press charges so you can be fully exposed for the idiot you are!

As an independent who left the local area and club a few months ago, the only thing I think when I read that press release is, ‘Is Steve Lee really THAT stupid?’

He’s been involved with VIVA for a year, wearing their gear to every practice and game ... and he wants us to believe he did not know about the formation of VIVA?? Seriously, is he THAT dumb?

Somewhere in the world a rock is smiling ... knowing it is smarter than Steve Lee.

Ever wonder how Bo was able to go from living in a friends basement for years to a nice condo in One Loudon in the past couple years? Drive his Mercedes? He takes your kids' club and tourney fees from the club account and uses it to supplant his income. ABGC was 60K in red in its travel soccer account prior to the merger with VIVA, and it was all due to Bo. He's a total snake charmer.

If it were my kid- I'd run for the hills (i.e. another club) as quick as I can.

Must be Steve or Trevor(abgc), bo doesn’t drive a Mercedes. Also tell me why bo has to live with a roommate in one loudon rather than live on his own to afford his fees? Also I wonder why greg germains son(billy Germain) was making 50k, more than any coach in the program.

As you may have recently become aware, there is a dispute regarding ownership of the Villarreal Virginia Academy. We want you to know that we hope to resolve the dispute promptly and are confident that it will be resolved in our favor. In the meantime, we are committed to safeguarding our program for all our participants.
As you may also know, for the past several days, Bo and I have been locked out of the www.villarrealva.org website and have not been able to manage the daily operations of the Villarreal Virginia Academy. As of this moment, SportEngine, the operator of the Villarreal Virginia Academy website, has frozen all registration funds in escrow until the dispute is resolved. You have also heard from Villarreal CF through Julio Salinas that Villarreal CF will suspend their activities and coaching until a resolution is reached. Julio Salinas communicated this directly this evening at the managers meetings.
Many of you have reached out to express concern and offer words of encouragement. We have tried not to confuse you with too many messages, instead we would like to wait until we can provide you with correct information that you need in order to make a good decision for your children.
We greatly appreciate your patience and your support during this extremely difficult time for us. Our only hope in starting the Villarreal Virginia Academy was to provide first class soccer training and the best playing experience for your children and we are committed to that dream.

Sincerely,

Bo Amato & Carlos Aranda
VILLARREAL VIRGINIA ACADEMY

run folks run. $$$ You may have lost your deposit for now but find your kid another club.

Excuse me genius can you please explain to me why bo has put the most kids into college out of any coach in the country? Without out a da or ecnl team? Why are the fees so cheap compared to loudon, arlington, and mclean witch charge 4k a season at U9? Also these clubs have nothing to offer compared to what viva offers (professional coaches in a la liga team). Viva charges half or even less than half of what these big clubs charge. Without question this is a place where I will put my son when he is old enough, having bo, carlos and villarreal cf all coaching my son with no more interference with abgc. I could only imagine the best of things possible.

LOL, the joke us coaches tell behind Billy’s back is that he’s so short he needs a step ladder to climb up curbs. But we gotta pretend we like him since his daddy is our boss.
