Yeah, this is over the top

Agree, but it could be a nervous/self consciousness thing too.

You always feel bigger than you are when preg and being under the microscope may make MM feel really paranoid so she kinda puts her hand there....?...which ironically really just draws more attention to it.

I thought her face and arms are bloated.

Her baby kicked her in a video (you can see the foot and everything against her stomach o.o) and you can see her hand move to touch the kick. First-time mom with movements and flutters. Hands to settle it down or bring comfort.

The kid is saying THIS DRESS IS TOO TIGHT!

Meghan is a PR master. One engagement with a tight dress later the conversation turns from her pathetic father and a fake bump to - ooh look there’s the baby!

Well, I think a lot of Brits are wondering why she visited a retirement home for entertainers, yet cannot find the time to visit or call her father, a retired member of the entertainment industry.

There were jokes that Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain, would/should fly MM's father to the retirement home so he could see his daughter.

A dress will not stop this family drama. All she needs to do is call her father. And yes, if he goes running to the tabloids, all he would say would be glowing details -- that would work to MM's advantage to the masses. She is not winning this PR battle.

She treats her own family poorly. Beyond poorly. She abandons people who don't help her climb up the social ladder. Where are her friends from her 20s and her acting days? No genuine friendships. It's all use and abuse.

Her lack of enduring friendships, or relationships of any kind really, reminds of Angelina Jolie. And we all know how she turned out. It's just not normal.

+1

This is a deeply disturbed woman.

WTF?

She looks tiny! Yes, she does look pregnant and has a little bump. You guys are insane.

I'm pretty sure this thread was started by Meghan's psycho stan who has said she can guarantee Meghan is having twins. And uses photos like these as her "evidence". Creepy, indeed!

So it looks like MM wore a dress yesterday to the Queen's luncheon that she wore on the Today show in 2016:

She is still fitting into some pre-pregnancy clothing.

Are you guys all older moms? Younger moms (including Markle's generation; I'm in it) often do stretchy tops/dresses and don't buy actual maternity stuff. All this pearl-clutching over the stretchiness of the dress just seems old-fashioned. If you're younger, it seems petty.

um...not so young. She's 37, or AMA (Advanced Maternal Age). I'm 40, so in her generation and I would never wear that dress, bought maternity stuff, etc.) Younger moms = 20-something to lower 30-something.

PP here. I didn't buy much maternity stuff at all, and I'm between your age and Megan's. When I think of those maternity tent shirts etc., I think of people in my mom's generation.

Perhaps a better term is cohort vs. younger moms. More recent cohorts of moms seem to be wearing less maternity clothes. That one should cover up one's pregnant belly just seems like a dated notion.

It’s not a young vs old. It’s a class distinction. If you wear high quality expensive and well tailored clothing it doesn’t stretch as easily. The women continuing to wear normal clothing late in pregnancy are wearing cheap ill fitting clothing for the masses.

Lol, okay. I wore normal stuff, J.Crew, etc. I was 113 lbs before pregnancy and I just didn't gain a lot of weight, and didn't really need maternity clothes aside from a few tops for work in the third trimester. I guess Megan and other younger generations are also all wearing "cheap" ill-fitting clothing. Get used to it; people are not wearing maternity clothes as much because norms are changing and people don't feel the need to cover up their bellies as much as in the past.

I bought a lot of off-the-rack stretchy Women's Plus size dresses from Ralph Lauren/Vince Camuto. Never stepped into a maternity clothing store.

She has a personal tailor.

I saw a video of her in the floral dress, and she actually looked smaller/flatter on the video than in the picture.

Very interesting read. Sounds like she had very dysfunctional upbringing. Thomas Markle sounds like an aloof, albeit a fun dad who went above and beyond to provide for her. They liken her to Jay Gatsby. Very cool read.

She is ignoring the palace’s advice regarding dealing with her dad.

I tailor clothing.

It is not easy to remake a skinny outfit bigger, especially giant twin big like PP keeps claiming about Meghan.

I am in the camp that she is not that huge for 5 to 6 months along.

I saw the same thing.

She looks much smaller on video. I wonder if some of the pictures are doctored to make her look larger.

Don’t photographs generally add 10 lbs, as they say? Maybe they even add a bit of weight to baby bumps, lol.

May I say I love that picture of the queen.

If I were the queen I would only wear that shade of lime and I would make giant billboards of myself from that picture.
