Say thanks coach as I have been for a number of years, and ask what time he needs the kids at the next game.

I wouldn’t trust my child around an angry, entitled rapist, attempted or completed. I can’t believe you would put your politics ahead of keeping your child safe.

Who said anything about politics? Has he been found guilty of any of those things you mentioned? No, so can we say the same of your husband?

Found guilty: in a criminal trial no. What’s your point?

Found guilty anywhere? again the answer is no, so you are not saying the truth.

Indeed. Sadly so.

Nobody publicly talked about assaults before. Now they do. I prefer the latter, because it's the only way we can push these men out of the top jobs!

No reason why he shouldn't. He's been harmed by demonstrably false accusations.

Even if a lawsuit isn't successful, it still forces Ford to spend a ton of money defending it, which has a punitive appeal all its own.

Unfortunately, it probably won't happen because Kav is too dignified to fight that way. And that's what I hate about our side. We Fence against people swinging chainsaws, and expect a fair fight. We're idiots that way.

Montgomery county is in the preliminary stages of investigation into alleged sexual assault against kavanaugh ( no statute of limitations in sex crimes in MD)I’m amused dimwits like you think it’s over . He can barely live within his means , who’s going to pay for his lawyers ?? You’re a joke .

Ford would absolutely not cooperate with a criminal investigation. She would not be treated with the kid gloves that she was treated with by the Senate. They would destroy her over her past. She was known to brag about the number of guys she slept with in HS and college. She used to tear up the Dewey Beach scene. A prosecutor would never put her on the stand. She would get absolutely shredded.

Ford asked for an FBI investigation

I'm only guessing.

But first it would explain some physical things--his puffiness, extremely broken facial capilaries, and brown teeth. For moneyed folk who have the means for elective procedures, brown teeth are usually an indicator of something internal manifesting outward that can't be repaired through cosmetic dentistry, like long-term liver or kidney disease.

Second and most importantly, his behavior. He acts and over-emotes *exactly* the way an addict acts and emotes when they are forced into a situation where they *have* to be sober. Worse, he's forced into that situation because of a questioning of his prior behavior while intoxicated. Shouty, ultra-defensive, deflective, trying to seem "regular" angry except that internal gauge is broken so unable to recognize that he's coming off as rage angry, etc.

He also seems like someone who's yet to admit a problem or, worse, think he has one--so his rage never ends at having to be sober while presenting in a high pressure public forum. I bet he used to down lots of hard liquor, but switched to beer because you "can't be an alcoholic with just beer." Hence all the beer talk.

This. I grew up in an Irish-catholic family with several relatives who were/are alcoholics. It was thus so easy to recognize all the tactics Kavanaugh employed - they are cultural and they are also classic denial mechanisms of alcoholics. One of my relatives was a high functioning alcoholic with a great career as a lawyer. After years - my entire life - of seeing him at family events where he was angry, belligerent, a mean drunk, and awful to be around, I visited him and his wife for lunch. He was congenial, kind and personable. I could not believe it was the same person. This is exactly what is going on here.

Yup. Sad but true.

Honestly, can't America do any better than this guy? I heard that a case on sovereign exception/double jeopardy is up in the SC next month. Maybe that's why they just want to ram this through, hell or high water. It's very disappointing. It will taint the court's reputation for the next 50+ years. Americans losing trust in their political institutions over someone like this . . . very sad.

It is a refrain as old as time, which is reason why sexual assaults are vastly underreported.

Give the rage that he showed yesterday, I think he’s equally abuisve at home when things don’t go his way. I hope she and the kids are safe, and I ‘ow that the cons on here will think that’s snark but it isn’t. That is one mean man.

Anonymous wrote:I don't think he assaulted Ford. There a couple of reasons why:

1. The friend that she went to the party with does not support her story. If things happened the way that she said they did, her friend would have remembered that night. She left the party without talking to her friend. That friend would have been angry. Two girls at a house with 4 boys and one of them leaves without telling the other? That friend would have called her the next day asking what the heck happened. Also what kind of friend gets assaulted by two guys and leaves her friend in the house with the same two guys???

2. Her family is not supporting her. That is very telling.

Her friend says she doesn't recall. She's not supporting or disclaiming it.

Wrong. She said she does not know him, and does not recall being at a party with him. Does not recall the party, yes, but the main point is she does not know him. She is denying even knowing the man.

I doubt she will. How is it going to be for them in their social circles? Are most DC Republicans down with this?

Republicans :rant about how there's no proof of anything, all while refusing to investigate to see if there is proof. They are cowards. They know that lyin Brett would be exposed for what he is if his high school cohorts were interviewed by the FBI.

I know, right. Picture what comes over him when his daughters get out of line.

I’d just like to hear a republican say that this was a job search for a lifetime appointment on the highest court in the greatest nation on earth that has gone well.

I’ll wait.

After seeing his performance yesterday when he's sober, he must be a scary raging drunk.

She has no social or financial prospects outside of this circle she married into, so it's much easier for her to believe he is the wronged party.

Classic psychology.
