Eugene Kanin at Purdue conducted a study that showed, according to police reports from one city, that 41% of rape claims were untrue, and a full 50% of claims at two universities were untrue. Other researchers have come up with similar numbers for false rape accusations: Gregory and Lees, 1996: 45%. Jordan, 2004: 41%. Chambers and Millar, 1983: 22.4%, Grace et al., 1992: 24%. McDowell and Hibler, 1985: 27%. Buckley, 1992: 25%. Washington Post, Virginia and Maryland, 1991: 25%. Even the lowest number is TEN TIMES the number of false rape allegations that feminists will admit to. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8135653 |
The way the Dems have handled it is absolutely identity politics. |
Seriously, I’m so sick of this notion that women don’t lie or exaggerate these things. Women are complicated, flawed humans just like men. We lie. We exaggerate. We misremember. Grow up, people. |
That’s because they look at several studies instead of your one. The number of false accusations is far less than 10 percent in all of them. You’ve found an outlier. |
That’s why an investigation follows accusations. |
I'm not much of a drinker, sorry! Not even in high school and college. And I still can't remember such little details. I can tell you what conversations I had and who was there with me. But not where the party was. Wait until you hit 50. |
Then press charges. Congress is not obligated to “investigate” this allegation in the precise way you like. Neither is the FBI. |
The man has a background investigation. He’s probably had multiple ones over the years given his government positions. This 11th hour nonsense is not entitled to a delay so federal authorities can go recreate some dumb pool party and read your yearbook. |
Congress is literally obligated to advise and consent. Not rubber-stamp. |
There's no eleventh hour. There's no deadline. And there's been no investigation of this allegation. That's the point. |
Do you also believe those people accusing priests of molestation are lying, too? |
They are if they want the truth. Clearly you don’t so why pretend. |
Beats me, I haven't look at the evidence. I don't have an opinion on things I haven't studied sufficiently. |
Studied sufficiently? You mean like an actual investigation? |
Plus a billion. She is NOT making this up. She's an educated woman with a family and a successful career. Why, oh, why would she want to damage all that by making up a story like this? If she were insane, maybe, but there has been no evidence put forward that she's insane. Of course, if there were an FBI investigation, that could determine whether or not she showes signs of mental illness. It's Kavanaugh who is lying, clearly. He has every motivation to lie, and she has none. An FBI investigation could determine the facts. The innocent do not fear an investigation. The guilty have much to lose. |
