The FBI should investigate or Kavanaugh could just withdraw his nomination so the Republicans can put forth someone who doesn't have this controversy. Easy peasy.

The idiot left will try to character assassinate anyone to protect this dumb swing seat. Frankly that this is the worst they could dig up says great things about his character.

It seems that you missed the confirmation hearings.

I watched them and was utterly unimpressed with the Spartacus nonsense.

The idiot right started this whole witch hunt with their "character counts" movement.

If you tried to sexually assault that kid, then yes, an investigation may be needed.

A 17 year old can be charged as an adult btw. And in many cases, they have, though they are usually young black men.

Wait so only if I tried to *sexually* assault the kid? It’s okay if I just punched him in the face? Could you be any more blatant that this is some stupid women vs. men identity politics nonsense?

I don’t care who started it. And frankly Democrats started the Supreme Court nonsense with Bork. In any event I’ll vote for who I think will end it.

F*ck you.

And if a man came out now and said Kavanaugh beat him up outside a bar when he was 20, everyone would want it investigated to at the very least, go away.

If a man claimed that 30 years ago Kavanaugh stole 10K from him, everyone would want it investigated. It wouldn't even be a QUESTION. Even if Kavanaugh denied it.

because they were drunk minors, it's OK to assault someone?

No, just no.

Lots of shit is not “OK” and yet not worth marshaling the resources of federal law enforcement authorities, esp. when we all know it’s impossible to figure out the truth. Congress can listen to his darn character witnesses testify under oath and that’s that.

Then why is important to handover a SJC post to someone with that cloud o his head?

We already did that with Thomas. The more things change, the more things remain the same. It's okay to allow men who harrass, assault and abuse women to sit on the highest court in the land. Who cares, women certainly don't

Stupid women. Is that how you refer to your mother and daughter?

No, they wouldn’t. They’d be like why didn’t you report that the statute of limitations has passed and no one would care.

The stupid modifies “women vs. men identity politics.”

Ford can’t remember the year the incident happened, she can’t remember how she got to the house party, or how she got home. She told no one about it at the time and the issue came to the forefront during a couples therapy session six years ago. Her therapist’s notes never mention Kavanaugh and actually mention four boys involved, although she says there were only two.

Not true. There could be reasons why people wouldn't have reported it at the time.

People would care, and it would be investigated and quickly wrapped up if it was thought to be unfounded.

Try to get a conviction in criminal court with that hot mess.

You could be charged as an adult for either if you were 17 when you committed the crime. It's not a man vs woman thing. We are talking about a 17 yr old, not a 13 yr old. Could you be any more dense?

https://www.peoples-law.org/juvenile-system-juvenile-courts

If your case falls into any of the following categories, it may be handled in adult criminal court:

If you are 16 years or older at the time of the offense, and you are charged with any of the following offenses:
carjacking;
abduction;
kidnapping;
second degree murder (or attempt);
manslaughter, except involuntary manslaughter (or attempt);
second degree rape or sex offense (or attempt);
third degree sex offense;
robbery with a deadly weapon (or attempt);
first degree assault;
using, wearing, carrying, or transporting a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime; or
use or possession of a firearm.

I would expect the incident of my childhood to be investigated (beat a bully with a stick. kid got 70 stitches to the face). Behavior outside of societal norms should be investigated if you are entering a decision making position. Kavanaugh knows this.
