At this point, NWS says the bust scenario is 3 inches. Don't cancel anything before Monday morning, when we should have a much clearer idea of how much is going to fall on us. |
Yeah the sky will fall on us! |
Schools have closed for less! |
| My due date is Tuesday. I know chances are I won't go into labor on my due date but Christ! |
That happened to me in 2009, 9 inches of snow. So glad we owned a jeep when I went into labor. Fingers crossed for you. My OB told me if you do call 911 and don't drive (in case you get stuck) |
Keep us posted! |
Don't worry. Baby knows when it is the right time to be born |
Amelia Draper from NBC 4 said 5-10 inches during the 6:00 news. |
| I'm from Novosibirsk but you guys have scared the crap out of me! |
| It's looking more likely than not that Tuesday will be a shut down. I'm going to call my oncologist on Monday to see if he can fit me in that day instead of waiting until after the storm. I just hope we don't lose power. |

It's nearly 6:30am on Sunday, yet all the predictions are still all over the place. CWG's update this morning indicates "low confidence."
Q: When can they actually provide a forecast with confidence? Tuesday? I'm in MoCo, so I'm hopeful that even an inch or two on the ground by Tuesday morning will shut down schools since we haven't had any snow days. |
CWG is the worst. The only thing they ever report with confidence is weather will happen. |
I like CWG because they are frank about the limitations of their forces and they provide a lot of info (technical and non-technical, which is all I understand) to explain their forecast and their confidence level. Greater certainty in a forecast doesn't do you any good if it is just as likely to be wrong or right. |
| The European model which is generally the best is predicting 8 to 12 inches. |
