Frankly- they are the worst forecasters. No real forecaster even mentions this group (or individual). Don't plan on what they say for anything remotely complex weather-wise!

Prediction: they say it's just so darn tricky to call and set a range of 0 to 12 inches.

That isn't correct.. I have an event Tuesday night so I am watching this like a hawk. The lowest is more like 4 inches..

I have a really important appointment Tuesday morning -- I'm afraid to even check the forecast. Can you whisper what it might look like at 10am?

Agree. I follow DT at wxrisk.com on Facebook. He's out of Richmond, a tad bit snarky and usually on point.

+1. Bad timing. If it falls and if it sticks, it will just be stopping. Too soon to clear the roads, too soon to start to melt. If it stays on the low side AND gets above freezing. Tuesday afternoon might happen. But likely, we're in for Tuesday. And most places will close anyway.

Slim to none.

So this is Monday night and throughout Tuesday, right? I'm thinking I should cancel a physical therapy appointment I have at Noon on Tuesday. I'm sure my son's preschool will close, and our nanny might not be able to make it. I don't want to be hit with a cancellation fee.

Call them on Monday and ask what they prefer. They'll probably be closed on Tuesday anyway.

NWS says 5 or more inches, and some locations may see significantly higher accumulation.

It's only Saturday, and NWS has already issued a Watch.
